Lokma shawarma Leicester — Restaurant in England

Reviews looked good so visited this restaurant but unfortunately it wasn’t a great experience.

The interior is incredibly cold & drafty, the decor is majority exposed brickwork & is really shabby, around the wall where we were sat in the corner there was bulges of expanding foam sticking out, above us the ceiling had big gaps in the corners which resulted in unpleasant cold air being blown onto your head and neck, the seats were super uncomfortable & the seating around the edge against the wall is hard wood benches with a sort of cloth draped over it, again very hard and uncomfortable to sit on.

Food is reasonably priced, we had a family platter for 4 which was generous in size, the food overall lacked flavour and seasoning, most of the food was dry & all our kofte kebabs were slices into really thin pieces so went cold straightaway, the rice served with the platter was plain white boiled rice with some ghee, as far as I’m aware this isn’t an authentic representation of the cuisine this restaurant states it serves.

We were all disappointed with the food & comfort of the establishment as a whole, even as more customers walked in they expressed how cold they were especially with their young children, sadly we won’t be back.

Only positive is the service was quick and attentive, food came out very fast even though it was freshly cooked as it’s an open kitchen, the guys...

I am giving 1 star purely because of the customer service I received from 1 particular worker when I came a couple of weeks ago. Upon arrival we enquired about a certain dish on the menu. While asking him a question, the way he looked at me was as if it trouble him and he was offended by us enquiring about their menu. After finishing our meal I asked him to pack the Turkish bread as we couldn't finish it, and again his facial expression said that he was offended and angry for asking him. The other staff are lovely and It's a shame that his 1 worker is jeopardizing the business due to his poor customer service skills. He really needs to be trained on basic etiquettes especially when he's working in a customer facing role. I have come to lokma many times but do not intend to give them my hard earned...

Very disappointed after the meal I had yesterday. Firstly I have ordered two panini without onion but received them with onion and when told them about the onion inside the owner just removed partially and gave the panini back to me by saying I have removed the onion.

While eating the panini’s I have found onions inside.

Secondly I have to say that for the price I have been charged the portion was not worthy.

Overall i was not happy with the service as the person who prepared the food was sweating a lot so god knows if he did droped sweat inside the my food. Therefore hygiene level was low.
