I visited the cafe today for breakfast with my daughter. We have often been and food and service excellent. My daughter had only started eating when she pulled ot what appeared to be a long hair with tiny eggs on top. We brought this to attention of the waitress who picked it up and said she had no idea what it was and placed it back k on the plate. No apology or sorry you found that in your food. Daughter didn't finish her meal. Meal came to 22.00 and she said call it 20.00. We were not really after recompense gust a simple sorry. My food as usual...

Nice salads and jacket potatoes. Not a cheap option by any measure. Expect to pay around £25 for a plougmans lunch and a good salad and a couple of drinks. Thats 2 meals and 2 drinks. Decent portions and quick service. Be aware that this Cafe closes at 3 pm everyday so you need to be there for around 2 to place your order. Upon arrival we seated ourselves and were met with lovely staff. Ordered lattes, Maxi breakfast and a banjo. Drinks came quickly, food was close behind. All was excellent apart from the hash brown having too much onion for my taste. Inside is simple, but cosy. Only complaint there is when people sat behind me they kept leaning back into the seat which was not set, meaning it became rather uncomfortable to sit there.
