We visited on the 28/12/23 at approximately 21:30, we ate in store. Food was ok. Big Macs were a mess. It's 5 circles on top each other, it's really not that hard! Of much more concern, was the state of the disabled toilets. I do not have a disability, but on enquiring on the location of the toilets, I was directed to those toilets, I double checked this, thinking what if a person with a disability needs to use it but I was told by a member of staff that this is the only toilet I could use, as the upstairs (where the other toilets are) was closed.
The toilet is in a disgusting state, and one that I don't think has happened since the last sanity/hygiene check or regular inspection. No, what I'm seeing in my photos is a build up of dirt, grime, germs and bacteria over a sustained period of time that can only have been allowed to happen in a systemic culture of neglect and incompetence. In a world obsessed with KPI box ticking, where no one checks to make sure the jobs are actually being completed properly and to a certain hygiene standard, this is the result. On leaving, I inform Jade (the duty manager/supervisor) of this situation after seeing her walking up and down behind the counter doing nothing for the entire duration of our visit, so they can't even use the excuse they were busy. No this is deliberate, this doesn't happen by accident. See for yourself, look at the photos and judge for yourself.
If this is the lack of hygiene and respect they treat their disabled customers with, imagine what they are doing to your food! Avoid at all costs! You have been warned. Environmental Health will be informed. Absolutely disgusting on...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with my recent visit. The restaurant was in a very poor state of cleanliness, and the toilet facilities were unacceptable.
The disabled toilet downstairs smelt strongly of stale urine, there was dried faeces on the toilet seat, and no soap available. My young daughter urgently needed the toilet, so I had no choice but to cover the seat with toilet paper so she could use it.
The upstairs seating area (where the ladies’ toilets are located) had not been opened, which meant customers were left with only the disgusting disabled toilet as an option. I had to ask a member of staff to open the upstairs area and informed them of the unacceptable condition of the downstairs toilet.
However, my husband visited the restaurant yesterday and found the disabled toilet in exactly the same unhygienic state, showing that no attempt had been made to clean it or restock the soap.
This is completely unacceptable for a restaurant environment and poses a health risk to customers, especially families with children. I expect McDonald’s to address this issue urgently and ensure toilets are properly cleaned and maintained throughout the day.
I will also be making a formal complaint to McDonald’s Head Office regarding...
Read moreTerrible service! Staff clearly lacked any motivation despite it being very busy! We were a family of 5x and ordered via the app to save time only to have the manager take my nephews phone and delete his order and rewards/QR codes, accusing him, a 13yr child of trying to over use his code and get a free meal despite my nephew explaining that he was collecting for two separate orders , placed by myself and another mother and child! Once the staff realised they had made a mistake , deleting the order to be told he could no longer get his happy meal at the reward price as the incompetent manager had deleted the order and QR code!! No apology, nothing! We then had to wait a further 20mins for a new order after already waiting 40mins previously! Extremely shocking service . It was a very busy environment, lots of people waiting whilst the staff stood around chatting , being Extremely rude about other customers that were also complaining about the poor service, very unprofessional! After waiting nearly an hour we received the 2x happy meals which were so cold that the children could...
