Old Street Tavern and Pepper House Rooms — Restaurant in England

Flat Eric made this super find. Pubs are closing all over the UK but this is the third "new one" in Ludlow since our last visit in 2020. This was a pub many years ago and was the local for Prince Rupert of the Rhine. A cavalry leader for Charles 1st in the English Civil War. ( 1640 - 49 )..thus a long history. ( also YouTube Prince Rupert Drops!) Four real ales on handpump. Had a half of a new brewery for me, Sarah Hughes. Ic and Flic had a half of Great Newsome Golden. Both excellent. This is undoubtedly of the Best little Boozers in Ludlow. Loved by the locals and the musicians of the area.. Serving decent draught and keg beers. You may even be lucky enough to sample one of there infamous cobs... A new pub in town on Old Street, refreshingly simple. Just beer, (well kept) largers and a few spirits. No food. They have had some interesting beers from around the country but lately seem to have just the local ones!
