I see I’m not the only one to go for the prawn and crayfish salad with a gin on the side 😜 Staff were really friendly and accommodated us as a walk-in at 5.30 when they had a fully booked evening, and did not feel at all rushed but food came out so quick and was so good, we had finished our food and two rounds of drinks by 6.30 All three of us loved our food, Ludlows reputation as a foodie Mecca is held up with establishments such as these 👩‍🍳 Highly recommended and very reasonably priced

We were staying at the Feathers but wanted to eat somewhere else. We had pre-booked and ensured that the restaurant was aware that one of the party had a shellfish allergy. Upon arriving at the restaurant we mentioned this to the greater, who remembered the conversation. We were pretty quickly seated and our order taken. The food was very good, the smoked mackerel patty was probably the best I've tasted. Good food, good portions and really good friendly service. Highly recommended

Have been a few times and always had good food at a decent price. The only down side is you need to book in Adavance to make sure yoiu get in the restaurant probably a few days in Advance. You can turn up at the bar if there is space and eat there if you can get in. Popped down for Sunday roast. Fried brea and haddock gujjons were great for a starter and the beef roast was great and generous as well.

What a find! ||||We were initially only looking for an overnighter so this place did not show in the original search as it's a minimum of 2 nights. When our plans changed, and the original accommodation couldn't do the 2nd night, we found the Queens - and so glad we did!||||We visited Ludlow for the Food Festival - I won't be reviewing that but you really should go - It's amazing!||||We were met on our arrival and promptly taken to our room - The Lower Cottage. It was immaculately presented and extremely clean. First impressions were everything you'd hope for. We were then introduced to Jane the owner, she was brilliant. Really bubbly and enthusiastic and a hive of local knowledge down to where (and where not) to eat. ||||The Queens itself is quite a busy pub so the garden can get a little noisy at times, however the double glazing is very efficient at masking 90% of any noise. ||||The facilities were perfect for what we needed. We'd brought provisions for breakfast with us as it's not provided at the Queens, but that suited us as we were there for the foodie experience of Ludlow. The bed is comfortable, bathroom perfect and enough of a kitchenette to keep you fed and watered.||||Parking is offsite by the library. Free after 6pm and all day Sunday. £4.00 for the full day (8am-6pm) so very reasonable as we arrived after 6 on the Friday and left on the Sunday!||||Would I recommend the Queens - Absolutely. Would I stay again - Definitely. See you for the...

Ludlow is a beautiful village, after exploring the area we wanted to rest and have a nice meal. I checked google and browsed different restaurants but decided to select this place, I visited with my partner and her mother. I am disappointed to say, upon entering we felt unwelcomed, we took a seat in the designated dining area then a lady walked over and told us the restaurant is fully booked although there was only one table that had a reserved sign on it plus the restaurant was absolutely empty. She explained we can go in the pub or outside in a pub garden which was understandable if they were actually fully booked so we proceeded to the garden. We sat for a few minutes which was a long enough wait then after my partner said she was uncomfortable with the service I had no other option but for us to leave. Considering nobody assisted us, gave us a menu, or concentrated on us needing to order some food, in my opinion the service was unacceptable, we didn’t feel like valued customers. As much as I tried making the situation seem normal as possible I can’t help but consider how the visit made my partner and her mother feel. We travelled from far away and our expectations for this restaurant was high. I will never visit this place again, next time we will just drive to...
