Allergies ignored... When ordering, I asked the waiter if there were mussels in the seafood soup as I am allergic. He laughed and said "no, no mussels. Octopus, squid, prawns". I said cool as I am allergic. 45min after arriving we got out food (there was only one other table). I started to eat, firstly the prawns has eyes AND their shells on. HOW am I supposed to eat those when they're in boiling soup? Then I see a mussel.
I go over to the waiter and ask him if there are muscles in the soup as I think I saw one. He said no there aren't but then came to my table where I showed him the mussel. The cook switched my fish to the vegetable soup as she said they use a seafood mix (which is that cheap bagged mix you get). This consisted of a very small amount of soup, a few chunks of zucchini and onions. When at the counter to pay, I asked if I had to pay full price. I was told yes.
I was then told that I should have let the waiter know I was allergic but more insistent...I told him, did they want me to wear a badge?
After a good few minutes of negotiating and the cook trying to blame me for their lies, I didn't have to pay for my dish.
I have woken this morning to a puffy and swollen face and blisters on my tongue.
Please be more responsible, please waiter do not lie to me or your boss, and maybe it would be better to specify...
Read moresince me and my friend can only consume halal food and this restaurant isnât, we did what we usually do and decided to order vegetarian dishes. it only occurred to us after ordering that vegetarian dish means âhas vegetarian optionâ and you must specify it to the waiter when youâre ordering. so we panicked and told her, with apologies after every word we say, that we didnât notice this nuance and if itâs possible for her to change it to veg option or do anything about it. the response we got was her angry expression, loud voice and a stern âyou will pay for it, you shouldve asked me before ordering. why didnât you ask me?â ?? đ i know itâs our negligence that we didnât check the menu carefully but she couldâve used 100 DIFFERENT WAYS of communicating it to us kindly. and even during checkout she was always blunt and acted like we donât exist, no matter how good the food is honestly stuff like this really puts the customer off and causes a...
Read moreThis was the first time for me to try Korean cousine.
I had Dolsot (rice served in a hot stone bowl) with beef, egg and vegetables (Bibimbap). The ingredients felt very fresh and their equilibrium was just perfect. Everything was able to stand out without being overwhelmed by any of the ingredients or by the spicy paste that it came with, which was instead a nice addition with a firm and earthly taste.
My friends ordered some other variants of dolsot which I tasted and enjoyed, on top of a spicy beef and tofu soup. Despite an above average wait, all the sudden the table was covered with tasty food.
The chicken wings were a really welcomed surprise, with a crunchy caramelised flake to them and sprinkled with a handful of sesame seeds.
Prices were honest.
I really recommend this great restaurant with a welcoming and international atmosphere. I will definitely come back.
PS As I write I am still digesting and even the burps...
