I placed an order around 14:30 for an order to be delivered at 17:30 as a birthday meal for my 6 year old daughter, she had been looking forward to having Papa John's for her birthday treat all week. At 18:00 the order had not been delivered, I rang the store and was on hold for over 20 mins, with no answer, I decided to travel to the store to see what was happening with the order only to be told that the order had just left the store to be delivered, I returned home only to find that the order had still not arrived. The delivery finally arrived at 19:20 and I enquired when the driver had actually left the store for him to confirm it had been 10 mins before delivery. I was lied to at the store when I was there as the order had not been sent around 18:25 as I was told and when the driver delivered the food it was luke warm so I also doubt he had left the store 10 mins prior. This level of service is totally unacceptable and unnecessary, on top of that it had ruined the ending of what had meant to be a little girls special day. Despite the inconvenience of having to order and collect an additional meal from an alternative fast food chain, and making the children wait an extra hour and a half to eat their dinner, this is totally unacceptable. If I had been informed at the store of the truth of the status it would have allowed me plenty of time to make alternative arrangements to get the children fed. I am most disappointed with this service as Papa John's is always or first choice when ordering pizza and we really do enjoy the taste and quality of your products but the service on this occasion was definitely not up to standards and I do not appreciate...
Read moreSadly had such a terrible experience with Papa Johns which could of been easily resolved if management had better experience of customer service. After a wrong order I was told a manager would be in touch. This did not happen. After making a further two phone calls I was told a manager could not speak but Kyle apologised and as a good will gesture agreed to add a voucher for two stuffed crusts and two side dishes. I thought this was lovely and decided to wait to order today for a treat for the family. Spoke to a Matthew who was lovely but had to go check with management. I heard in the background the manager being very abrupt towards the team member and he was told to tell me the gesture had already been claimed which it hadnt! I felt very sorry for the team member who apologised and so asked to speak with the on duty manager myself (28.01.20). I was told due to a rush this was not possible! I ended the call and after giving the company the benefit of the doubt at first decided to make a review. Right now the business is offering vouchers to gain custom but with that kind of management once those vouchers run out people will not go there if things dont change. I feel sorry for the owner as the manager is the one who is supposed to be setting the example. Think we will stick to the family owned businesses from now on who actually care about pleasing their customers. Good...
Read moreSo this was my wife and I first ever Papa johns, and I am very impressed, pizza came piping hot, and without a doubt the best pizza I have ever ordered within yeovil, although there where a couple of issue this was easily out weighed by the positive, I will list the negative purely for improvement next time, it started with a phone call asking if it was half pepperoni or full, (surly that's listed on the order) but they had the courtesy to ask which I appreciate secondly, when ordering I asked for the for the spicy beef to be swapped with tandoori chicken, however the spicy beef was still on the pizza with the tandoori chicken. On a third and this seems to be a thing for pizza companys, they need to learn how to cut, But as stated this is the best pizza we have ordered within yeovil highly recommended...
