Rocky's Pizza — Restaurant in England

Ordered this evening via deliveroo. After an hour and 20 minutes, it still hadn’t arrived. As I was about to call them, I received a text saying it had been cancelled. I called them and was told that they had no drivers. I asked them why it had taken so long to let me know as we had been waiting over an hour for our food and I was hung up on. I called back and asked to speak to the manager and was told he was busy, finally he came on the phone and said that he couldn’t decline the order so just had to wait the hour until deliveroo could cancel it. I again asked why he didn’t call and let me know and asked if they had not a single driver in their restaurant (they deliver with their own drivers not deliveroo drivers) and he said “we do but he doesn’t want to drive that far” I said they’ve delivered here plenty and I was hung up on once again.

I've been a customer for years and every now and then I'd get a bad order but always tried to be understanding that all businesses can have good and bad days. However, after consideration I need to leave this review due to the appalling food and treatment and to warn other people. In my last order yet again the food was soggy, uncooked and just awful. This time I tried sorting this out with the "manager" as it wasn't cheap but he was very aggressive and intimidating shouting down the phone - I barely got a word inbetween and he put the phone down on me a couple of times. Very unreasonable, disrespectful and disgusting behaviour. Worst takeaway experience and customer service I've ever had. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM, AVOID...

I ordered from here for me and my little brother. We had a kebab and chicken burger meal. The kebab was dry, an it appeared to be brought in slices and then grilled to a crisp. The chicken burger had the batter/breading off of one side. (Not the biggest deal but the lil bro won't eat it.) So I call them up explaining the issue. This is there exact response. Laughing-"that happens all the time, it's from frying it. It's still good." I explained it wasn't 'still good' and they shouldn't have sent a defective burger in the first place. They then said they had customers waiting on the phone. I said sure, I'll just write a lovely review 😊 I hope Whoever answered the phone gets the day they deserve.
