Brighton Bierhaus — Restaurant in England

I've been trying quite a few Brighton Brewery craft beers and Brighton Bierhouse is the only one that filled my expectations.

I initially went in hoping to try a flight but sadly they do not do them. However! They let me have a small taste of some of their beers to figure out which I'd like. And Jesus....The CHOICE. So so many to choose from! Quite alot of German choices but I wanted to try their own brand of beer first.

I tried the Bier house pale ale which was good and fine but the FRESHMAN AHHHH!!! So so drinkable and good. A wonderful craft beer that isn't too heavy but has that PUNCH we all love in beer. A light but delicious taste.

Quite the small place but warm and inviting.

4 stars because I do think some small additions to try their wide wide variety of beer could improve this place (like a flight..) but you won't go wrong or be short...

Brighton Bier probably saved this historic pub when they took it over a couple of years back. One of the last surviving Edward Street / Eastern Road boozers (once there were dozens), the Thurlow had landed on hard times. After a name change it was under threat of closure. Now unashamedly aimed at the craft / keg beer market it boasts an ever changing list of thirty or so beers of all styles, colours and strengths with many localy sourced. The staff are friendly and always happy to advise. This is no longer a traditional pub in any sense but it has evolved to keep a new generation of drinkers very happy. Better this than it becoming yet more flats or student...

A great spot for a nice beer in Kemptown. Excellent range of beers and (usually) prosecco on tap which is a master stroke. There is a large screen with all the beers and descriptions so it's easy to see what's on offer and try new things. If you're not sure the staff are really friendly and helpful in helping you choose something you'll enjoy. As it's on the back of St James St you get a more relaxed atmosphere than other nearby places. There is sometimes sport on but it doesn't have that sport pub vibe, which is amazing.
