So after reading reviews for Rudys Durham on TripAdvisor, I thought we would give it a bash. Booking a table online was so easy, you get a chance to leave a revisit comment and yes they read it. Arrived on time and we were seated immediately with maybe half the restaurant full. A lady greeted us and made us welcome and we felt comfortable straight away. When ordering the staff were brilliant, they explained and answered all my questions and catered to my children's taste buds well. Once the pizza was ordered (6-person order) the pizzas were on the table within 10 minutes, which seemed so fast. The quality of the dough/crust was immense, the topping perfectly cooked and all washed down with a glass of coke.
Well done Rudys Durham
Pros: Quality of Pizza Helpfulness of Staff Speed of service Price of food (6 huge pizzas with drinks 95 quid)
Cons: Better selection of drinks for kids (although the lady who served us made this work for us)
Defo 5 stars and will be back another day when...

Quite busy for a Tuesday night which is a good sign. I opted for the Carni as the wild boar salami caught my eye washed down by the Italian Beer on tap. Very nice, fresh pizza cooked in a large gas oven, lots of flavours coming through, simple classic tomato sauce and quick service. A blackboard near the kitchen explains how they make the dough and long ferment which means you don't get that pizza bloat of that processed dough some chains give you. It also means the dough is full of flavour as well. This is Neapolitan style so slight crunch on the rim and soft in the center. The staff inform you of this when you sit down so do understand this isn't "that "zero flop" American style this is proper Italian style... just read...
Read moreThe new venue looks great however like all new restaurants there seems to be some more work to do, although all the staff were polite and great at interacting with our kids there did seem to be a lack of organisation, it was hard to see who the manger was coordinating everything. Visually it did look like there were a lot of more people working than was required an so it just felt disorganised when trying to get service. The effort was there just needed more organisation. The pizzas were great however if I had one minor complaint, getting the pepperoni pizza it felt like all the toppings made it very soggy in the middle and so not as enjoyable to eat, our sons Margherita was perfect, the portobello pizza my partner had was similar to mine, great crust but soggy in the middle. Overall great potential once they work this opening issues out but...
