San Marco's — Restaurant in England

Booked for a group of 10, setting, lovely, live music, very pleasant, the food was of a good standard, however the service tonight was shocking. The night started with a mixture of starters, the order was brought out in a reasonable time, however items of the order were missing, the waiting staff were informed and most of the missing items were brought out, minus 1 garlic bread. The starters were finished and the plates cleared quickly, the mains were brought out not long after and once again we had to get the attention of the waiting staff as many parts of the order were wrong, many of us on the tables had been left with no cutlery, one of the steaks was ordered well done and was actually rare so had to be sent back. Wrong potatoes on one of the meals, and then desert was brought out in a reasonable fashion, however the liqueur coffees took and age to come out, and one for the main party guest never arrived, so overall very disappointed with the service tonight I don't think I would choose to go back again after spending nearly £300 and not getting any apologies after complaining...

Huge disappointment tonight for a birthday meal. After years of good food and service, we had one of the worst meals we have had in a long time. The previously attentive and friendly service was almost nonexistent, but the food was the biggest let down. Carbonara was inedible - undercooked pasta, sauce had absolutely no flavour at all except for raw egg. Steak was so tough that the lady who ordered it couldn't cut into it. Chips were greasy and tasteless. Pork cutlet was actually one tiny overcooked pork chop which tasted of nothing apart from the dollop of apple sauce which was plonked on top of it. Pizzas were quite bland. Lasagne and meatballs were good though. Out of 9 meals, 3 were not eaten. Had to complain about it all, even asking if it was a new chef. Got no real explanation or apology, but apparently it was the main chef's night off. We skipped dessert and took our still boxed birthday cake home, as no one wanted to stay any longer. To be fair, two meals were deducted from the bill, but this hardly compensated for a ruined...

I had the pleasure of dining at San Marcos Italian in Blackpool, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with authentic Italian music playing in the background, which really adds to the charm and makes for a relaxing dining experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we felt welcome and well taken care of throughout our meal.

I visited with my two kids, and we all had a fantastic time. The food was exceptional – I ordered the lamb shank with garlic potatoes, and it was a perfect 10/10. The lamb was cooked to perfection, tender, and just fell off the bone, while the garlic potatoes complemented the dish beautifully.

Overall, San Marcos Italian is a gem in Blackpool. Whether you're looking for a family meal, a romantic dinner, or just some authentic Italian cuisine, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll definitely be coming back! Highly...
