Smokin' Aces - Cocktail Bar & Whiskey Lounge — Restaurant in England

I recently tried to use you bup, but the bar security names Kevin called me over and became very hostile and insulting when i leaned on a barrel outside the lub, calling me an idiot for leaning on something that he said was "obvioiusly unsafe." In Kevins stated opinion. Kevin was on his phone and so his interjection came as a surprise, i asked hin why he was being so insulting over my simply leaning on a barrel in the streat. And Kevin then banned me from the bub, saying i blew smoke in his fase, i dont smoke so this came as a shock. I explined that i vape and did not mean to vape near him. However Kevin was adamint that i not be allowed ro join my friends in the pub due to my apparent offence at being worried by the barrel on the street.i spent the next few hour trying ti apolgise and eplain that i was simply worried by the safty of a very unstable surface but Kevin seamed happy to be able to bann me from the pub. I spent the next few hours teying to reason with him. I will never attwnd smoking aces again. The pub was dead anyway, but i font want to be attacked just for leaning aginsed an object owned by...

We went there for a Bourbon tasting for my friend's stag do, and the quality and depth of knowledge to go alongside it all was fantastic. These guys really know their drinks. They started with a selection but then subtly adjusted the direction of the tasting to suit the Stag's tastes to ensure he and all of us had a great time. Even as someone who doesn't drink whisky so didn't partake it was fascinating listening and learning about bourbon manufacture and the history of American whisky.

Afterwards we stayed for some more drinks and all the bar staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help out in any way they can. A bar that stocks Reyka is always going to be a win in my eyes. Whilst they don't serve food, they were more than happy for us to get pizzas from the little place across the road and bring them in to eat and even got rid of a (large) stack of empty boxes for us.

Next time I'm in Bournemouth I know where I'll be starting (and probably finishing)...

Really disappointing, we asked for a menu and the bar staff said that "they were the menu", which we felt unsure about, so ordered two bottles of prosecco as they seemed really pushy about a package.

When we got the bill, a bottle of prosecco cost £42 and when queried, it's "because it's local" and when I saw the bill it was under 'Misc'. We had one of our group sitting at the bar and was overhearing the bar staff scheming "sell these girls some packages because we'll make money out of them".

Shocking behaviour to be honest, no integrity, we specifically chose Smokin' aces for the live band and whiskey bar vibes but we had a fab night of dancing in Post which is a 5 minute walk away, don't...
