I came here with my husband for a Birthday lunch, i had read great reviews and had been wanting to try for awhile. We booked through the website and got confirmation via email. Our plans changed slightly so we had to alter the time at last minute. But this was no problem at all. We arrived and were greeted warmly, we were the only customers but it's such a beautiful restaurant it didn't really matter. We sat by the window and people watched. Maybe a bit of music next time. The lunch menu seemed small but actually everything on it sounded delicious. We shared, baked oysters to start, very tasty, Then shared the "meat flatbreads" these were insanely good, Then shared the "open pork belly sandwich" again very very good. The food is gorgeous, We were very happy with our lunch and then we were presented with a birthday cake & candle, it's was such a sweet surprise. Very thoughtful and although we were completely full we had to tuck into this. It was a pistachio cheesecake but with a cake top. So so good. Will definitely be back soon I would like to try the breakfast & the evening meal. Lovely place. Thank you for making my birthday lunch special. Very...
Read moreSaw all the reviews and had to give it a whirl and was not disappointed. Took my parents, wife and children for lunch. Menu was super interesting and quality. A fusion of Korean polish blended with other recipes from around the world. Decor and ambience well balanced. To complement the delightful food, the staff and owners were lovely and attentive rounding off an excellent lunch. Would highly recommend as quality, alternative non chain restaurants are a rarity in Bournemouth.
Notes to owner - consider a name change to really tell people what this restaurant is all about. “The Place” is far too bland for such an interesting and beautiful restaurant. Also, pop a few children options on the menu. You were brilliant in accommodating our kids fussier mouths but putting a couple of staple kids menu options with a polish/korean twist on will serve you well.
Thank you so much for a brilliant time. Ps the Flat breads...
Read moreI saw this place as I was walking by on the first day that it opened and stopped for some food. The food was amazing! I went in there again today looking for a breakfast. It was past the time of the breakfast menu but they went out of their way to still serve me what I wanted. The breakfast I had was quite possibly the best English breakfast that I’ve ever had and way beyond the average common greasy fry up. Their whole menu looks amazing too and I will keep going back until I’ve tried everything on it. It’s a lovely place to sit also. Very friendly atmosphere. I can’t rate it enough. You won’t be disappointed if you go here.
UPDATE! Came back again (added two more photos). Brilliant once again. I had the oysters and the mussels 👌🏽. They even let me try a sample of another dish which was greatly appreciated. I will be back again soon, for sure.
UPDATE NUMBER 2! See the last two photos. No words...
