Thai Golden Horse — Restaurant in England

Having had a hankering for a good Thai meal we decided to take advantage of the 15% off collection offer and give this one a go. Could of ordered through Deliveroo but would have been more expensive.

To be honest food was mediocre at best. The Thai Fish Cakes were rubbery and tough. My soup seemed to just be mushrooms and chicken (the mushrooms outweighed the chicken). The Jasmine Rice came out of the tub in one lump and only pouring the sauce from my curry saved it. Although tasty my portion of Penang curry was tiny, barely even half a takeaway tub.

Normally we find that having starters and soup means we're full by the time we get to the mains but in this occasion I'm glad we did have them due to the small amount of main course

If I could have been bothered to take it back I would have.

I will say that the Duck Spring Rolls were very good but that's the only positive thing I...

Awful…. So ordered via Deliveroo (who were great) £60 worth of food, I’d pay less than £20 for what it was worth. Basically coconut milk mixed with a few strands of over cooked chicken. Thai chilli and basil prawns equals 4 prawns and raw veg with a couple of bits of basil thrown in- it was tasteless….Having spent lots of time in Thailand and having enjoyed lots of great Thai food in the UK this was beyond doubt the worst food ever. When I complained direct to the restaurant they called it “Thai style”… what does that even mean?! And told me to call Deliveroo. They did however say they’d send more food out but said “ it will taste the same” (great thanks for that, maybe get a new Chef!!)…. Luckily Deliveroo offered a refund. I understand this is under new ownership but it’s seriously bad. Avoid...

Went for a meal tonight with family and friends, the restaurant decor is really cool and atmosphere is lovely, warm and friendly. Servers were really friendly and definitely helped make the evening a good one. The most important part - the food was amazing. So tasty, got the mixed sharer starter and everything was cooked so well and full of flavour. Chicken wings were juicy but with really crispy skins. Then the main, got a Pad Thai and it was amazing. I knew I was full but couldn't stop eating. Portion size for the main was great, and compared with most places I'd say the starters were a good size too. Price wise, all well priced for the amount and quality.

Put it this way, it's been over an hour since we left and we're still talking about how good...
