I visited on Saturday 9th July 2022 when my sister and I discovered it by accident. We saw it as we looked for the Wetherspoons (!) and decided it was preferred (the wetherspoons had gone anyway), because my sister and I love Thai food (I also have a Thai wife). The welcome was friendly and at just after 12midday it wasn't busy. The menu selections were great, even the cheaper lunch menu, which we chose from at £10.95 each, with starter and main. After the meal, I did look at the desert menu but didn't fancy any of the items. I shall return when back in WSM, but as we're 90 minutes away it might not be for a while. The only drawback for me, as a small scooter user, is the "step", into the restaurant. This could be easily solved at very little expense; a small, "wooden" ramp just to raise up from pavement level. It could be removed when closed and would not interfere with walking customers. The toilet was upstairs so that would be impossible but not a deal breaker. I had the chicken with spicy peanut sauce, Thai Green curry and rice. Enough for most people, and certainly the portion size was excellent. Read moreWell where to start, Myself and 2 of my friends booked this for a wednesday evening to celebrate my birthday. On booking I never thought to say it was for a birthday, but as soon as the owner realised she came over with some balloons and a table decoration wishing me a Happy Birthday. She was absolutely amazing from start to finish along with the rest of her team! The service was acceptional, chatting to her and getting to know just how talented she is was also very lovely and personal. Now we get to the food, absolutely stunning and a must experience, I will be honest i had some sceptisum from looking at the Facebook pictures and how perfect all the pictures were of the food, but it generally is exactly what we were given, definitely a work of art and you can see just how much pride they take on what they produce, it didn't just stop at the visual appearance it tasted amazing also, some of the best flavours I have had, when taking the order we were asked what spice level we would like, we all choose the mild which was so flavoursome and perfect for myself. On this experience I am definitely going to be returning and recommending this place for friends and family to also experience. Look forward to...
Read moreWhen seven guys eat in a Thai restaurant and each reckons it was the best Thai they have had then it must be special. And ThaiLimeLeaves is. The menu has plenty to choose from and every dish, prepared freshly, was excellent. I myself, having tucked into the tasty prawn crackers to start, had a Massaman Curry. It was both plentiful and tasty. Our waiter was both efficient and also able to handle a table of seven guys that made the meal all the better. We met the Chef Patron who is lovely and spent time explaining her philosophy. The portions were such that even after a day's walking none of us could manage a dessert, something I will remedy next time I visit. If I find myself anywhere nearby I will definitely visit again. And so should anyone reading this. Update - it is 21 months since I visited this restaurant as I live in France, but visited again today. Everything I said about it before still stands, and a different set of friends now love it. And as a footnote, I couldn't manage a dessert this time either....
