Nice location, shame about the poor communication and service provided by the front of house staff on the day we visited last week. Being directly rude to customers and then swearing about them within ear shot behind the bar, isn't acceptable.

Went back to the bar to challenge it, front of house staff member went off to speak to the manager, came back no apology, little anything - so we left.

Followed up via email to contact the manager and was told "Unfortunately as soon as a customer leaves the premises not having spoken with a manager there and then to raise issues, it completely removes our ability to get those issues resolved". No apology, which is what I asked for.

So lessons learned, demand to see the manager at the Globe if you have an issue, don't accept anything from the staff when they say they have spoken to the manager.

Sadly, no apology, were put off our lunch after their behaviour and didn't finish. Left and found another place along the high street where customer service was 100% effective.

Wouldn't recommend The...

不要来这家店,店主搞歧视,态度超级差。I have been living in Cowes for almost few months and visited this restaurant/bar a few times, the service is unreliable-you can’t predict when they are open so be ready to get disappointed. I had my worst catering experience with this one lately: I ordered fish and chips but wanted the fish only, because English is not my mother tone, I didn’t articulate property my need - the lady owner at the counter showed a discriminative face: unbothered and impatient when taking my order 😅. Also, she charge me 12 pounds for bartered fish only (no chips and anything else) when there is a meal deal that offers fish and chips, Beas, and A DRINK for 13 £ 🤔🤔🤔. I came back to her raising this meal deal and ask for adding 1 £ to get a drink; she said no, we can’t offer you this because we will give you bigger fish. I didn’t argue but asked for a cup of soda and — she charge me for 1£! 😌 lady, many bars in Cowes charge less than 1 £ for a...

I usually get drinks for Cowes week from the Globe because despite them being in the middle of all of the action and chaos the event brings, their prices are pretty reasonable and they manage to chew through the queues of people relatively quickly! They offer a range of spirits, beers and cocktails throughout the week and I believe you can rent personal bars if you are racers over the event. Staff are very pleasant and personable.

I have not been here outside of Cowes week as it's not often I venture into Cowes for a night out, but I would definitely go in here...

The Globe in Cowes in Isle of Wight, is a cute little pub with a great atmosphere. It offers plenty of food and drink options – their fish and chips are a must-try and definitely a local favourite. They often have live music, which adds to the fun vibe, and it’s also a great spot to catch a football match with friends. Lots of beer choices too, so there’s something for everyone. A fantastic place to relax and enjoy some good food, drinks, and entertainment!

You can sit inside, outside, 1st floor or the terrace. No fancy menu so you can make your choice quickly. Be sure to get here early if you want the best seller smoked bacon ciabatta, we were to late, they had sold out. There are toilets on the ground and 1st floor. Great view of the sea. There is street parking pay and display. Dogs are welcome on the ground floor. The Fishfinger ciabatta and side of chips was very tasty.

Lovely place! They have outdoor seating, an upstairs and a roof terrace. The service was lovely, the people were very nice. I had stone cooked tuna steak which was delicious. I was told I was the first of the season to have it! It was an exciting experience and one I don’t imagine having anywhere else.
