The Gurkha - Buffet Restaurant, Hotel & Bar — Restaurant in England

Fantastic hotel with bar and buffet style restaurant the rooms were clean and decent size with nice big bathroom big shower with plenty of hot water could do with a blind up at the window got room service on first day but not day after bed okay could be better the room got warm but there was nice big electric fan which was brill. Nice big bar with good selection of beers friendly bar man plenty of room with pool table and few seats outside they had football on and played a decent Duke box till late . The buffet bar was one of the best I've been to plenty of choice with a good combination of Indian Chinese and Nepalese seem to have two sitting giving hour and half each even though you can have various times to sit there's a good dessert section. staff are friendly and efficient its got a nice atmosphere and plenty of room food was top notch and very tasty very clean would definitely recommend and would go back. The only gripe is they don't serve coffee in the bar or restaurant which seems a bit daft they serve breakfast and seems a good price but didn't have it quite a friendly place 15 minutes walk to promenade and south Pier there's a good music venue up the road and there's plenty of shops and pubs...

Honestly can not fault this place at all. Was mine and my girlfriend's first time away with no kids in two years and I can honestly say if it wasn't for this hotel we would have left blackpool after 2 days. We booked twice for the buffet in the 6 days we were there and it does not disappoint. Food was lovely and the staff are very helpful. Always cleaned our plates straight away ready to go up again. The rooms were spotless and even though we had trouble with the shower( because we didn't know how to work it) the owner was straight up to help us. Honestly can't speak highly enough of the owner. He made me and my girlfriend feel very welcome and always made the effort to come over every morning at breakfast and when we were just walking around for a chat.

I've worked in hospitality for the past 15 years and if your looking for a hotel that has everything from excellent rooms at a very good price. Lovely breakfast and a buffet on a night. Location was spot on. In the middle of all that blackpool has to offer. Friendly staff. Then honestly this is the place for you.

Restaurant.... Outstanding! Hands down the best buffet restaurant we've ever been to. The food was amazing - the best tandoori chicken wings EVER! Staff were excellent, couldn't do enough for us. Polite, courteous and obviously well trained. Will definitely be back!

Bar.... Brilliant value for money, the cheapest round we bought whilst in Blackpool. Family friendly, cosy and comfortable. Pool table, darts, jukebox and puggies were all used by us and all great additions to a lovely wee pub!

Hotel..... We stayed for 3 nights. Great value! Clean, tidy and comfortable. 2 fans were provided for us due to the hot weather and were much appreciated! Staff were extremely helpful and nothing we asked for was too much. Breakfast was delicious and again the staff really were outstanding. I think it was the owner who served us on all three mornings and his service was perfect!

After learning a bit about The Gurkhas from the beautiful and interesting decor around the restaurant its safe to say that the owner here takes the same pride in his business as he did in his army life. We have already recommended The Gurkha to some friends and will continue to do so.
