We were in Blackpool for a long weekend recently and visited The Bank for our evening meal on Sunday. Its a lively, bustling busy restaurant with friendly chatty staff and q trendy vibe. It seemed really popular woth fully booked tables and lots of people happily chatting away at tables. Everything on their menu is prepared fresh which is fab as means they can tweak and change things on request and can be sure to cater to food allergies (which is something very relevant for us). Service was fairly quick considering how busy it was (but not so quick as to be concerning) and all of our food was amazing. I particularly enjoyed my burger which was possibly one of the best ive had and the kids both had ribs which looked amazing and im told were the best. Only note for improvement on the food came from OHs meal, hunters chicken, which was nice but the bbq glaze was too sweet and a bit too much cheese. It all tasted good but the glaze overwhelmed everything else. The mocktails were delicious too, and didn't just taste like a glass of plain fruit juice. The whole menu is very reasonably priced and our overall bill was very reasonable, wven including the 10% service charge that they automatically add. There was a small issue with our bill however it was fixed quickly without question and we cant fault the service there. We left with full bellies and satisfied smiles and would definitely return next time were in Blackpool. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a good meal in Blackpool!

I came with my friend for brunch not long ago, I had the breakfast and she had one of the burgers. Commenting only on what I ate, the breakfast did seem very average, similar to what you'd find at a cafe down the road, yet the pricing was very fair so it's safe to say you get what you pay for. Our waitress was very bubbly and had the best intentions, but the service from her was slow and clumsy. Both the food and drink orders were a bit like pulling teeth, having to repeat everything we said a few times, and then sat waiting as she struggled to input the order onto the tablet. When you read such good reviews, enter a fine establishment, and get a slow and clumsy service, it really brings down the expectation before you have chance to taste the food. What I can't fault is the decor, what a visually stunning place to sit to eat and drink in good company, and speaking of which, the brunch and drinks menu had a wonderful variety to choose from, all very fairly priced, much lower in cost than what I would have ever anticipated. It's tough to call, however, after reading so many positive reviews and hearing so many wonderful things, maybe my expectations were a little too high. I would love to return in the evening at some stage and try the dinner menu and give a more well-rounded opinion of the place overall, because I believe this place is so much better than what I experienced.

The best dinning experience i had so far. Staff was very friendly and professional, they made you feel like you are at home. The area where the restaurante located is very central and easy access. The food is just divine we order bruchettas and calamari has starters, and everything was well cooked full of flavor just perfect, has main we order pizza pepperoni for the kid, and let me tell you this the pizza was delicious, they even gave my kid a bit of salami so he could taste to check if it was gonna be hot spicy for him the pizza beats easy alot of pizzerias around the area. We order a Sirlion steak wich was cooked medium just like we wanted with chips peppercorn sauce salad and rice everything was freshly cooked and delicious. I had a bank mixed grill that comes with lamb chop, gammon, rump steak, sausage, chicken breast, black puddin, mushrooms and grill tomato. I tell you it was divine meal has all food was fresh cooked with love and care. Overall was a really great dinning experience with my family and the prices compared to the food you eating and the love you receiving from the staff are very good. I will return again 200% Thank you all the Bank Staff for giving me a great evening.

What a place.

“I forgot we were in Blackpool” we both declared as we sat down in Bank. The place is lovely, the service is excellent, and the food is exceptional.

I overheard the owner telling some other guests that they haven’t advertised their business yet it is full. And it’s easy to see why.

The business put in a discretionary 10% service charge in post Covid which goes to the staff. Even with this charge, the value for money is fantastic.

Let’s start with the ribs I had for starter. I’ve never had ribs as good quality. They were massive (which is great for me), they were tender, juicy and flavourful. An excellent starter.

My wife had the Garlic Mushrooms which were super quality. The only slight gripe there was that’s she would have liked more salad with it.

Now, on to the mains.

I implore you to try the burger. I know, it’s a burger. Everywhere does a burger. Everywhere charges the same price for a burger, and everywhere has it on a brioche. And, I as I ordered it, I too was expecting that same thing as everywhere.

But let me tell you, this is not your bang average burger. This is, quite frankly, a fantastic burger. The patty is thick, it is hand made, and it is not over-minced. It is too-quality locally sourced, great cuts of beef, which are made into proper burger patties. And that’s the magic of this. Unpretentious, unassuming, then comes along and takes you beyond your expectations. I’ll be honest, this burger was worth the 10% discretionary charge alone. It was worth 25% the price they are currently charging.

Blackpool is for everyone, and sometimes you want great food at a great price, to be treated decently, and seated in a well appointed place - and Bank has that.

We dined at Marco Pierre Whites for afternoon tea the same day, and the service level here is easily on-par with that.

We will be back, and we will be trying other items on their hand-prepared menu. We...

This evening, my family and I visited Bank Restaurant, where we were initially met with a delightful culinary experience. The dishes were superb, offering a rich tapestry of flavors that we thoroughly enjoyed. The service, too, was commendable, with our server exhibiting a level of attentiveness and warmth that significantly added to our dining pleasure.

However, the evening’s pleasant tone was marred towards the end. After we had purchased a round of shots, an unfortunate incident occurred where my six-year-old daughter accidentally knocked 4 shot over on the server’s tray. The server handled the situation with grace and understanding, quickly replacing the shots and even offering a non-alcoholic drink for my daughter, a gesture we appreciated.

The issue arose with the final bill. Despite the accidental nature of the incident and the server’s initial display of understanding, we were charged again for the replaced shots. This decision, explained as a directive from management, left us feeling unfairly treated. The unexpected additional charge, especially after we had already paid for the original shots, was disheartening.

The food and the initial service at Bank Restaurant were indeed impressive, but this experience with the billing has overshadowed the positives of our visit. It’s with regret that we have decided not to return to the restaurant. The issue isn’t just about the extra charge, but the principle and the sudden shift in the handling of a...
