I had the unfortunate experience of encountering the restaurant owner during my visit to this restaurant , and I must say, he was incredibly unprofessional and rude. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this owner had a complete disregard for customer satisfaction.

Firstly, the owner was visibly disinterested and unengaged with his customers. He seemed more focused on chatting with his staff or playing on his phone than attending to the needs of the customers .

Furthermore, when we had an issue with the quality of service , the owner was dismissive and argumentative. Instead of listening to our concerns or offering a solution, he simply brushed us off and made excuses for the poor quality. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for this owner.

Lastly, the owner's attitude towards feedback was appalling. When we decided to leave a complaint, he responded with hostility and defensiveness. He seemed incapable of accepting any criticism or taking responsibility for the issues raised. It was clear that his ego and pride were more important than addressing customer concerns.

Overall, our experience with the restaurant and its owner was incredibly negative. His unprofessionalism, rude demeanor, disrespect towards both customers and employees, and refusal to take accountability left a lasting bad impression. Five Stars – A Truly Wonderful Experience at Bombay Brasserie, Mapperley

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Bombay Brasserie on Plains Road in Mapperley today, and I have to say – it was exceptional from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we were met with incredibly warm, friendly, and hospitable service. The team are genuinely lovely people who clearly take pride in what they do.

The decor is absolutely gorgeous – pristine and professional yet relaxed and welcoming. I loved the stunning detail of using vibrant saris as curtains – such a novel and beautiful touch that I've never seen anywhere else. Combined with the rich red and orange artwork on the walls, the atmosphere felt both elegant and comfortable.

The food was simply outstanding. We started with the fish pakoras and paneer shashlik – both were absolutely packed with flavour, perfectly spiced, and cooked to perfection. For mains, the black pepper chicken curry was another knockout dish, bursting with layers of spices without being overpowering, and the naans were soft, fluffy, and delicious. Everything tasted so fresh and expertly prepared.

To top it all off, my mum thoroughly enjoyed her passionfruit, papaya, and mango ice cream for dessert – a light, fruity, and refreshing end to a fantastic meal.

The lack of customer service was evident throughout my meal. The owner seemed more interested in chatting with friends or regular customers, neglecting the needs of other diners. When I tried to ask a question about the menu, I was met with impatience and a condescending tone.
