This is the most under-stated community resource in Mapperley! Everything one buys is of the highest quality. The prepared food is varied, professional, copious and first class. The staff have provided excellent service over the years and throughout the hard times of the pandemic they have continued to serve the community admirably. There is NOTHING I have ever purchased in Deli-cious, from cheeses, home-made cakes, high quality deli items and marvellous bread that hasn't been sourced with quality and affordability in mind. Definitely a place to try and get to on mapperley top. Whether you’re dipping in for a take out coffee and cruffin/doughnut/cake, having a seat for brunch, or a complete lunch, I’ve never had an order which hasn’t been great.

There’s always a really good choice, and the staff always seem happy to make up what you’re after on the fly, so you get just what you want.

I often go for the more decadent options, but it’s also one of the few places you can seem to go and get something more healthy and still very good.

Lovely staff give a warm welcome. Delicious breakfast options including locally sourced bacon and sausages, and free range eggs. Wintertime soup and jacket potatoes. Mouth-watering sandwiches including a daily special, free-range chicken options (try the Coronation chicken - yum!), extensive salad options and delicious home made cakes from the lovely Andie. An excellent range of liquid refreshments with several choices of coffee and tea and a selection of cold beverages. Also nice retail items including lovely cheeses, olives, sweet and savoury biscuits, preserves, pickles and chutneys and now, fantastic bread, rolls and specialty cakes from Hambleton's (award-winning) bakery.
