The Old Flower Shop — Restaurant in Gedling

We came here for a late Sunday lunch and we really enjoyed it. Both times we have visited recently we have enjoyed the food a lot.

We had the roast trio and it was delicious. Recommend this for sure!

There was a lot of noisy tables in the restaurant and bar and it was too much for our group and we told the waiting team who offered to move us immediately and we didn't feel it was too much trouble or any inconvenience for them, which was lovely.

When we first arrived we were greeted by the manager who was very polite and all the staff were very nice to us and checked in on how our food was.

The noise level in the whole pub is quite high every time we come in but if you're out for a fun vibe drink/meal then it's all good. However it was a bit much for us but that is personal preference and we knew that before we came in from previous visits.

Been a few times over the years, food is always nice, but the service has declined in my opinion. I'm writing this after my partner and I went in for a drink. We went to sit down when a member of the waiting staff asked if we'd booked a table to which we replied no. She then said we could go to the table we were already half way sat down on. She then immediately asked us what we wanted when we'd had about 1 second to even think about looking at the menu. I said could we have a minute which she looked annoyed about. Furthermore she then went to her colleague, clearly said something about us and then her colleague looked over at us. Visited The Old Flower Shop recently, and it’s easily one of the best bars I’ve been to in Nottingham. The ambience is fantastic—warm, inviting, and with just the right amount of buzz. It felt busy but never overcrowded, which made for a really comfortable evening.

The drinks were spot on, and the place attracts a lovely crowd, which only added to the great vibe. It’s got that kind of vibe where you could easily imagine a small indie artist playing in the corner. I think it would be brilliant if they occasionally hosted live performances; it would fit the atmosphere perfectly and make an already great spot even better.
