I’ve no idea what’s going on with Beauty Temple but this isn’t the first time I’ve had an issue with them. The staff have no professionalism whatsoever. I rang last week to get 2 little girls in to have their nails painted at the same time. When I got the confirmation I could only see one. So I messaged social media (they rarely answer the phone) I double checked to see if there was 2 bookings, someone checked and said yes. We arrived yesterday and a lady with dark hair said we’ve got lily booked in for a manicure, I said no it’s 2 little girls to have their fingers painted. I received an eye roll and told to take a seat. Whilst I was waiting numerous phone calls were being made to clients to move their appointments so I’m assuming they had a staff issue, it happens, but it happens every time I’ve been in. A lady came over and asked if the girls wanted to come over, they weren’t being done at the same time it was one after the other, which isn’t a big deal but it would of been nice to of been informed, as it was what I had asked for. I had to deal with a 7 year old constantly asking why she had to wait. One of the little girls had never had her nails painted before so she was really excited. The lady had zero interaction or made no effort with the little girls, she never spoke to them apart from asking them what colours they wanted. No customer service skills whatsoever. It’s simple, are you having a nice summer holiday, what have you been up to today. One little girls told the lady she wanted unicorn nails, the lady didn’t acknowledge her at all. You really shouldn’t be in that type of industry of you can’t communicate. I only took the girls there because I had credit from a previous complaint. I just wanted to use it up. Unfortunately I have a voucher I need to use as well. Like I say I’ve raised issues with this place many times. It’s a real shame because when they first started they were great. It appears the more salons they’ve opened the worse it’s got. It’s a lovely place to look at and appeals to little ones, the salon is beautiful, it’s what runs it that ruins it. Once the voucher is gone, I won’t be returning to any of these...
Read moreReally unhappy with professionalism. I brought my sister the Elemis facial and added on the extra cupcake & Prosecco on arrival. My first issue was they couldn’t post me the gift card so I had to go into the salon to collect, this is where I had my first encounter of the disorganised staff & their poor communication between each other. When I walked in the two ladies at the desk didn’t even look up to welcome me but continued their conversation. I waited for their attention and explained I was here to collect my voucher which I was assured they had also been emailed about before so that they was aware of my situation, after them looking back and forth they finally found it and mentioned I still had more to pay which the manager claimed she read from the email. I then had to pull up my payment to prove myself after what felt like an embarrassing interrogation for the desk lady to shout over to the manager ‘she has paid’ and the manger shouted ‘well that’s what the email said’ not even an apology for the mistake. After all of this I was just thankful to have the voucher that I could now gift to my sister. My sister messaged me today to say she claimed the facial yesterday and stressed to me that she felt the same unwelcoming feeling from the salon, same cold reception from the front desk and questioning of her appointment even though the voucher stated exactly what she was here for plus the booking. She told me the room where the facial took place was loud and not relaxing as all you could hear was everyone in the main salon. She also mentioned to me she didn’t receive her cupcake or Prosecco which I had paid extra for & she was told she could claim it ‘next time’ but after the cold welcoming I doubt they will be a next time. 0/10 wouldn’t...
Read moreThe team are lovely and the salon is relaxing and modern. I feel the need to write this review to help others considering bridal hair/make up so that other brides can be fully informed. I had a make up trial in store after enquiring about the brands that Beauty Temple use. I was informed that they use Delilah and Mac. I saw no Mac in there make up kit. I also was given no choice of base it was a one foundation fits all type of service. Needless to say, it didn't go well and I wiped it off straight after - £30 wasted. And no prosecco as advertised.
I also had a hair trial, this went well and although there were some tweeks needed I was confident that on the day this would be fine. I was offered a hair accessory; this didn't fit properly as it was too large but I was told a small would be ordered for me. Again, no prosecco as advertised and no mention of fresh flowers being an option.
On my wedding morning I turned up to the salon to be told that the hair accessory didn't come in a size small, so there was only the large option. We then had to try and bend the accessory to fit - not an ideal added stress on the day. I had to pay for the accessory, which wasn't made clear, and again, no prosecco for me or offered to my bridesmaids.
Overall this was a cheaper option than hiring a hairstylist, however it may not be the great deal that it appears at first look. If I were to do it again, I would book my own stylist as my hair was the only thing on the day that wasn't perfect. I hope this can help you to make an...
