An Enjoyable Large Group Sunday lunchtime at Levant Restaurant. The Welsh Connection (a large social group for Welsh people and their family/friends in Dorset) all dined here on a Sunday lunchtime as part of an 'A to Z Round-the-World' Dining initiative. This restaurant was our choice for L - Lebanese. The experience was a very good one. Firstly restaurant/ bar areas are very smartly appointed and clean. Nezzar, the restaurant owner/manager did an excellent job of working with us to provide 18 diners with a good culinary experience and a seating arrangement of three tables of six, which was ideal. Drinks were ordered from the bar on arrival and the service at the tables was efficient. Most people had two courses from a wide menu that included hot and cold starters with mains which suited meat-eaters, fish eaters and vegetarian. The mezze dishes were excellent too. All-in-all, this was a great lunchtime/afternoon event, thanks to the manager and his staff. The Levant restaurant is thoroughly recommended by the Welsh Connection for its delicious, well-prepared food, its service and...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at levant and I must say, it was an experience worth raving about. From the moment I walked through the door, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. The customer service was truly top-notch—attentive, friendly, and always eager to ensure that everything was to my satisfaction. Every request was met with a smile and a genuine desire to provide an outstanding experience.
The food, simply put, was amazing. Each dish was a delightful blend of flavors, beautifully presented, and prepared to perfection. You can tell that the chefs put a lot of thought and care into their creations. Whether you're a fan of Lebanese food or trying something new, the menu offers something for everyone, and everything I tried was absolutely delicious.
Overall, the combination of exceptional customer service and incredible food made for an unforgettable dining experience. I can't wait to return and would highly recommend levant in Bournemouth to anyone looking for a truly...
Read morePortion sizes are EXTREMELY small. If we were to spend £50 in London, we would have ended up having three times the amount of food (not to mention food quality and freshness and complimentary teas and paklawa).
Some dishes come with weird spices (I am guessing a chef in training?), which are not in keeping with such dishes, such as chicken and rice with an overwhelming cinnamon taste. Chicken not well grilled either.
Mixed grill consisted of a few small pieces of grilled lamb and chicken, and a small cup of plain rice. Nothing like the pictures. No minced meat sausages and no sight of lamb chops. A portion that is too small for 1 person. And a tiny portion of garlic mayonnaise.
Bread is charged at £1! No condaments or vegetables accompanying the dishes. I have never had to pay for bread etc. before, which are usually complimentary.
All in all, this place made me feel that the world is short of food and one needs to learn to enjoy a bowl of plain...
