Norwegian Wood Cafe — Restaurant in England

The staff were super nice and friendly. This place could be exceptional with a few tweaks: Cook the breakfast to order. To charge almost £13 for a breakfast, I would expect it to be cooked fresh. Everything on the plate was precooked and reheated, which is weird as it wasn't busy at all. It also arrived covered in oil, similar to a typical buffet breakfast. It was unpleasant. I'd prefer to wait for a freshly cooked breakfast, than 5 mins for reheated, precooked, borderline inedible food. Source local produce. At the very least the bacon, eggs and sausage should be good quality, locally sourced produce when charging London prices. The eggs were cheap (a light yellow colour), the sausages were the cheap, chippy type sausages and the bacon was so overly done it was tasteless and beyond dry, it was splintered. Clean restaurant. This place was quite dirty and could do with a deep clean. There was inches of dust hanging from these very strange ceiling beams (left over floor boards randomly hanging). The toilet area was awful, having to squeeze past an open window covered in dust and a very untidy cleaning area.

I went to the Norwegian Wood after a heavy night out in Bournemouth, the Deluxe, a coffee and a strawberry milkshake were just what i needed to recover! Absolutely brilliant customer service in terms of friendliness and speed of food. The quality of the food was excellent and they even let me swap mushrooms (which i dislike) for something else which not many places do and that was a pleasant surprise. Good and affordable prices, very unique place. If you live in bournemouth and haven't been there I do not know what you are doing with your time! A hidden gem of a family-run café! We stopped by Norwegian Wood Café for brunch and were genuinely blown away. I had the deluxe brunch and my wife went for the cheese omelette—both dishes were beautifully presented, generously portioned, and absolutely delicious. The bacon in my brunch was perfectly crisped, eggs spot on, and everything tasted fresh and lovingly cooked.
