I’m honestly shocked by your response. You expect me to reconsider my 1-star review after serving food with eggshells in it? That’s a serious food safety hazard under UK food law. In fact, Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 on the hygiene of foodstuffs, enforced in the UK by the Food Standards Agency (FSA), clearly requires food to be prepared and served in a way that avoids contamination. Finding sharp fragments like eggshells, which can cause physical injury, is a clear violation of that.

You claim to maintain "the highest standards" and have a 5-star hygiene rating — then how did eggshells end up in my food? This isn’t a minor slip; it’s a fundamental failure in quality control and kitchen oversight.

And no — you don’t get to tell me what to post or suggest I change my review. I wrote it based on what you served me. I even have photos of the eggshells in your Kottu Roti — so don’t try to brush this under the carpet or make it look like a misunderstanding.

Instead of offering a free meal, maybe focus on fixing your kitchen practices. This was a very bad experience, and frankly, I wouldn’t trust...

Placed an for the first time on the 16th August, I must say when the food arrived it appeared dry and was luke warm, upon tasting the food, it was tasteless and dry and the worst biryani we’ve ever had from a establishment that specialises in biryani. After trying the food we were all disappointed therefore we did not eat anymore and contacted the outlet to discuss our dismay, all was positive and was told to contact Just-eat for a refund, just-eat replied and said they can’t refund for something that we didn’t enjoy because of taste. We contacted the outlet and was offered a full refund on confirmation from just-eat that they hadn’t given us a refund, after numerous calls week after week Vass the manger now changed his mind and now offered half price until he hears from Just-eat, we said we would wait for their response, today I called on the 7th October and Vass has yet again changed his mind and offered a small discount! I had to come to the opening of this place, serving traditional srilanken food. On arrival I walked into a super clean and modern aesthetic in the restaurant, while staff were waiting with a warm welcome. I had a mango lassi, idly, masala dosa and recommended was the kothuthu rotti and let me tell you it was unbelievable! So much flavour, colour and aroma coming from all the dishes.
