I held my birthday event here at Dudubar Bedford this weekend gone. Where do I start…. Leading up to the event I spoke to both the manager (Melissa) and owner who helped me to figure out how I can celebrate it, staff, menu and drinks that I would like my guests to have. They were both so helpful and full of ideas which made it easy and relaxed. Once this was sorted I felt reassured I could trust everything was in their hands and I wasn’t wrong. Everything went according to clockwork and smoothly. On the day, I was able to have access to decorate the venue which is lush anyway but just to give it the added sparkle. My guests were made to feel very welcome and said the staff were warm and approachable. The food was very well presented, hot and tasty as usual. I have personally eaten here on a number of occasions and the quality is consistently outstanding and excellent. Read moreI tried emailing to book ( no reply ) , I tried phoning to book ( no answer ) and finally booked by paying a £20 deposit online. On arrival they didn’t seem aware I’d booked. However, the restaurant was empty and we were seated at a table without any cutlery. Customer service wasn’t very customer friendly. No menus were offfered and on enquiring we were made aware you needed to order via the app. This was our first experience of Nigerian food and we asked a few question but felt we were ordering things we had no idea of. The server did take our order verbally. The food didn’t arrive altogether and two of our group had nearly finished before the rest of the food arrived. The food however was delicious and everyone was pleased with their order. The live music was also very entertaining. On paying they didn’t seem to be aware I’d paid a £20 deposit and had to phone a manager to confirm this. The server didn’t seem to know you had to pay a deposit when booking online.

Read moreThe customer service is honestly terrible. Short staffing, the same staff is taking order at the till, while also cleaning tables and also servicing food. Delay in food preparation.staff must be stressed because she was having an attitude been the only one doing everything. We didn’t even get our food in time and left with just drinks only. Please get more staff so services can be distributed evenly.
