If you’re looking for a meat-heavy filling meal, this is for you. I got a sharing platter so tried a variety of meats: The kebabs are grilled on charcoal and you can taste this smokiness right before you bite into the juicy meat, which I have to commend. It was overall a very good meal. Reccomendations: Lamb mince kebabs -> the star of the show, your teeth slip right through and the natural juices mean you don’t need any sauce or extra seasoning. Cooked to perfection. Chicken wings -> soft and juicy with the perfect level of spice and flavourings which balance well with its natural smoky flavour Bread -> you’d do yourself a disservice not ordering this! Warm, fresh and so moreish, we had to order 2 extra batches Shiraz salad -> you can’t say no to a salad which js chopped into fine cubes, comes with a lemon and vinegar dressing - my brother is practically allergic to salad yet he left no crumbs Now the ribs were a bit too fatty, and the lamp chops too chewy. The chicken was nice but maybe a tiny bit on the dryer side. The saffron rice could have a little more saffron - the saffron flavour didn’t permeate through much. Service was great. Food took a while to be served. Make sure to book on Friday and Saturdays - it was fully booked but managed to get a walk in before 6. Veggie options: veggie and halloumi kebab and a range of veggie stews. They had an allergen menu. All meat is halal.

Iranian approved Authentic Persian Cuisine! 💯 Here's what we ordered: Kashke Bademjoom £7 🌟🌟 [Translation: Persian Eggplant Dip 🍆] A popular Persian appetizer that consist of grilled aubergine mixed with caramelised onion, mint walnuts and cream of whey. As a person who is not a big fan of eggplant, I would say the dip was chef kisss especially dipping it with the bread! 🤌💋 Soltani £21 🌟 A skewer of tender baby lamb fillet and minced lean lamb serves with rice, grilled pepper and tomato. It was a nicely cooked meat pairing with rice. Also, not forgetting to pair it with the grilled tomato! It enhances the overall taste of everything! 🔥 Tips: Do taste it when it freshly served when hot! The meat would become less tender when it is cold. Zereshk Polo £16.50 🌟🌟🌟 Traditional rice dish: slow cooked chicken in saffron and tomato sauce served with steamed saffron rice topped with seared sundried barberries and pistachios. Despite all dishes are my favourite, this is my Top 1! 😍 Pour the sauces on the chicken and some on the rice~ Tear some chicken and pair it with the saffron rice and not forgetting barberries! Perfect match 💯 Not able to describe it more because it was so good that you would need to experience it on your own 😍🔥 We were so blessed that we almost cried while was having all these food 😭 My Iranian friend said "it taste like home, and better than home~" 🏠❤️

Delicious food, warm hospitality – a true gem in Brighton! ShirZ Persien Restaurant is an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness. A special thank you to Samira, who made our experience unforgettable with her incredibly friendly and attentive service – she truly embodies Persian hospitality. The food was outstanding – full of flavor, beautifully prepared, and truly authentic. We especially loved being able to watch the grill in action, which added to the atmosphere and gave us a sense of the care and craft behind each dish. Considering the high quality of the food and the overall experience, the prices were more than fair – excellent value for money. If you’re in Brighton and looking for something special, don’t miss this place. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Visited Shiraz for lunch yesterday (Monday) after mistakenly thinking it was still Makara (Turkish)! Must pay more attention! My companion and l had identical meals two 250ml glasses of a very jolly Malbec with mixed lamb, chicken and sweet pepper skewers, with a lovely fluffy rice, roast tomato and other peppers. Two little pots of relish each one a gentle yogurt, the other a HOT HOT HOT green salsa, which should come with a fire hazard warning!

We were beautifully looked after by Magna, a lovely lady originally from Madeira, who immediately saved us asking for olives by immediately putting down a complimentary bowl of them. The jug of water's enhanced by mint leaves and lemon slices, delightful touches to what was an immensely enjoyable experience. Magna's assistant Daniel could not have looked after us more charmingly. Daniel actually comes from Shiraz. While the menu is now Persian, it'll also satisfy anyone looking for Turkish type food. It's clean, welcoming, grills can be seen being cooked, which is always fun, and my companion and l will be there again very soon.

Oh, and the little complimentary baklava at the end were charming touches - thank you,...
