It'd be nice to find some honest people these days in this world. All the positive review s here are either fake or don't know what's good food?!?! One of the worst restaurants I've ever been to.
Firstly, I nearly vomited 𤮠before I finished the koobideh, I looked at it & it looked "different" than normal lamb, I thought they just cooked it different but as I started eating, the "texture" wasn't quite like lamb, perhaps mixed with "something" or not even lamb?? plus they'd added some chilli or sth spicy which is not generally done (I guess to mask the flavour). It's not my first time eating koobideh & I think after 50 years, I know what's good kebab or not. Secondly, waited about 45 minutes. He must have been watching us because we were about to leave & he rushed over & asked "how would you like your fillet cooked!! š I've never heard this ever in an Iranian restaurant. It was overcooked at the end anyways, chewy & hard plus had a lamb fat smell which Iranians normally add turmeric to the away the fatty smell of lamb. It smelt on our hands all evening despite washing our hands a few times. The guy serving there was on his own there & I felt his attitude wasn't exactly polite. Anyhow,I forced myself to eat the food as to not upset my friend as we're on holiday here but near the end, I started gagging & had to force myself to not throw up. The waiter guy wasn't there but he rushed over & looked guilty & offered me free tea. Didn't even ask if I was ok. He brought the tea & was teabag in a teapot! Iranians brew proper tea leaves, at least in restaurant.
After that, he brought the machine to charge us & quickly ripped off the receipt & didn't hand it to us as normal waiters do... I guess to hide proof we've been there.
So we paid £40 to become nauseous.
both me & my companion felt uneasy, kept belching the lamb up all night & he ruined our last evening on holiday. We were so happy to go out for a meal but feel we've been scammed plus upset stomach & completely left us with a bad feeling.
Thank...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went here with my best buddy for a meal after work. We were there early evening mid-week so it was very quiet. The service could not have been better. The young waitress was very welcoming. We had a nice table for two and ordered Persian tea which came in a little pot that sat on a lovely tea-light pot warmer stand and had beautiful glass cups. We ordered olives and naan bread to start. Oh my!! The olives were the best I have ever eaten - marinated in walnuts, garlic, pomegranate seeds and herbs/spices. The naan was light and delicious. Our main courses arrived very quickly so the waitress pulled another table over to give us room for everything. Well, we had the Persian stews which were delicious. The lamb melted in the mouth, there was a lovely yoghurt, mixed salad and plenty of fluffy rice to accompany it. Mine was a mix of spinach and kidney beans as well as delicious spices. My friend's was in a sauce of chickpeas and tomatoes. They are not licensed but you can bring your own. And the toilets were lovely and clean which is always a good sign. I would definitely go again if I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTHE BEST IRANIAN FOOD in Brighton no question!
This incredible family run restaurant really does take the crown when it comes to the best Persian food in Brighton. I've been to every Persian restaurant and this is the best for the following reasons:
The portions are ENORMOUS and incredible value for money.
The quality of the food is INCREDIBLE! Clearly all fresh food and the quality of the meat is amazing too!
Family run business. It's amazing to see the whole family running this restaurant together from the father and mother to their daughters and son, they are all more than happy to help out and make sure that the customers are happy. The young daughter was more professional and friendlier than most grown adults who do the same job in other restaurants.
I think the pictures I have added to the review speak for themselves, just trust me and try this incredible Persian restaurant out, and you can thank me later.
No matter how full you are, make sure to try their Saffron ice cream......
