Treasure Mountain — Restaurant in Great Britain

We really enjoyed our meal at Treasure Mountain this evening!!

Food was lovely - my 14 year old son even commented on how authentic it was, and the gentleman (David, I think), explained the sauces are made in the kitchen (could definitely tell they weren't the ready made job you get in many Chinese restaurants!) Staff are so attentive - our main waiter was Leo and he was really friendly and sweet. We also had the other staff come and check on us, and they genuinely care which creates a comfortable and homely vibe. The decor is nice and creates a relaxed and authentic atmosphere - we liked the 4 art works made from Jade, very beautiful 😍 We ordered vegetarian food: seaweed without fish floss, egg fried rice, salt and pepper chips, satay sauce (so garlicky and yummy!), bean curd and stir fried vegetables in black bean sauce. All of the food was delicious and we were both thoroughly stuffed! Only slight recommendation I'd make would be to have some mock chicken or seitan dishes on the menu, but as I say, we were thoroughly satisfied and happy after our meal! If you are in Windermere, would highly recommend a meal here - the food is brilliant, and the staff make you feel so welcome and relaxed! We will definitely be back if we are visiting the Lake District again!

I just visited lake district and was starving after a trip in the mountains so decided to try this place . Nice folks but my sizzling dish took them more than an hr to get ready ? I only had soup so far but I never was informed it will take ages to get my main dish. yet loads of take away orders and other guest s order ( arriving after me !!) Were collected in front of my eyes just not great...even the couple arriving long after me got their main dish- similar sizzling dish- sooner than I 've been waiting for mine... Either they had to bring the food from China or not sure where it went all wrong . And in the end I 've paid by the same lady who I had to ask 3x when is my order coming I'm so hungry yet she did only given me a mint candy nothing else . No apologies no human reaction no nothing . Toilet is freezing cold i had yo go 3 times whilst waiting with my hat on and even the place is cold . Maybe if the service was sooner I would have not noticed it that much but then they better make sure guest is warm enough or looked after whilst waiting. disappointing. Dreadful and I mean it !! Paid £42 for 2 meals and starter for 2 to take away, chicken in black bean sauce with fried rice, sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice , black bean meal was week and tasteless with no green peppers , sweet and sour sauce was made with tomato ketchup with the taste of ketchup over powering and un edible , the fried rice was not fried rice but boiled rice with a few peas and substitute egg , stop making food on the cheep and catering to the masses and creat food that should have the authentic taste it deserves ! The previous manager that changed hands in 2024 was outstanding hence the return. Unfortunately the previous excellence did not continue.
