Twice in my life I've refused to pay a service charge and this was one. I don't leave reviews often but I have to share our experience.

The pasta is delicious there's no question about that, hats off to the chefs.

But there are some serious issues with the management.

30 minute wait to order as the waitress was clearly serving her friends first. Portions were surprisingly small as others have mentioned. Bread to start is literally bread, no oil or butter.

But that's not the end of the world. The big issue was with the order. The mains brought out were wrong. Then when when we received the bill, it not only had the wrong dishes, but the prices didn't match the menu (they were higher). We asked for the bill to be updated to the right dishes and they changed 1 of the 2 incorrect prices, but didn't correct the dishes to those we ordered. We asked again and the second bill brought out had the correct dishes, but one of the prices was wrong?

It took 3 rounds for them to get the bill right - that's never happened to me before and it makes me question how many people have paid more without checking.

I have never felt the need to leave a poor review of any restaurant but this was so unbelievably overpriced & overrated that i had to.

It is also the only time i have EVER refused to pay a service charge. The service was awful, took a lifetime to get even a menu, and there was no communication between the restaurant staff & our table. They spent the entire time chatting at the desk and ignoring us. The table was stickier than a pub bar at the end of a night.

And as for the food, it was quite simply overpriced & bland. I am not exaggerating when i say i can honestly make a better tasting pasta myself at home.

I wouldn’t even be bothering writing a review if it wasn’t for the fact they set such high prices for what it is.

If you set the price that high, then the least you can do is produce good food, and good service. I have never felt so utterly mugged off for my money. Do not waste your time or money,...

The food was decent, you can tell the pasta was fresh. However, it’s quite pricey for the portion size. Today I spent nearly £80 for a two course meal with two drinks.

Another issue we experienced was we believe the owners (or friends of the owners) were sat on a high table right next to our table, they were constantly moving past us, walking in and out to smoke, their friends would come over and it felt very overbearing. We weren’t made to feel welcome at all, and actually felt as though we as customers were intruding in their space and that we were not wanted.

I won’t be coming back here. There are other better options just round the corner, such as Fellini’s, which is much better value for money, the staff are a lot friendlier and it has an excellent, authentic atmosphere.

It’s a real shame as I had high hopes...
