We had the pleasure of visiting Baton Rouge for the first time last night and had a thoroughly excellent time, so much so, we are feeling rather fragile today. It was an impromptu visit before going out for a meal however we enjoyed it there so much, we returned after our dinner an made a night out of it. To say we were impressed by Baton Rouge would be a huge understatement, it’s got the coolest vibe in there. The decor is completely on point and very cool and the layout is communal and inviting. The way it’s set up encourages people to mingle and we met loads of great people throughout the evening. All of the staff were excellent, great fast service and incredibly well made cocktails. We had many of their take on the Expresso Martini, can’t remember what they are calling it. It’s the perfect mix of expresso martini and White Russian and my word is it boozy! You definitely get your monies worth with this one, and it tasted amazing, it will be our go to drink in there from now on. I also had their take on a passion fruit martini which was also excellent. We were served by and had several conversations with the owner Matt, he’s such a great guy, really interesting to talk too and you can tell he just loves what he’s doing. He has more than reason to be proud, he’s done an exceptional job with Baton Rouge, he also mixes a mean cocktail. The venue also boasts various usable musical instruments which customers are encouraged to use, there were several impromptu sing alongs throughout the evening which was so much fun. They also put on loads of events with various styles of music. All in all, we had a brilliant time, one of our very best nights out in Hinckley, Regent Street really is the hippest part of town now and we are so lucky to have great places like Baton Rogue to go to. We will most definitely be back, highly recommended.

I’d like to start by saying that Baton Rogue on Regent Street in Hinckley is a one of a kind place with an amazing atmosphere and the loveliest staff. I have visited in three occasions with my fiancé Tim and each time had been an absolutely cracking night. The place just has such a special vibe and we have ended up chatting to so many interesting people whenever we go, although we can never usually remember many of the names. It’s got a really cool Americana decor inside with lots of usable musical instruments that you are encouraged to use if you feel brave enough. There is often excellent musical acts most weekends, we have seen several and they have both been too notch. Then there are the drinks, there is an emphasis on cocktails which are always expertly made. Two of our favourites are The Chickory which is their take on the expresso martini, incredibly moreish! Then there is The Baton Rouge, which is an Old Fashioned, it even gets a smoke on with a drinks smoking hat, it’s so good and with all cocktails being £9 they are also incredible value for money! They also do a range of spirits, beers and wine all of which are great. The staff are uniformly brilliant, the wonderful Matt, Hollie and Shaun are always there to give great service, make exceptional cocktails and generally be awesome people. We feel so at home whenever we stop by, you are always greeted with a friendly face at Baton Rouge! This is the hippest place in Hinckley, go check it out now, you won’t regret it!

Great little bar. If you're in Hinckley definitely stop by. Live music when we visited and the pianist and singer were exceptional. Brooklyn IPA, San Miguel and Guinness on tap. Good wine and little bar snacks handed out for free. Small place with a US theme. Right next to Ponchinellos to get a good pizza to take away on the way home. Also, dog friendly. Nice staff. Will definitely come back.
