A big group from our running club had a Christmas meal at Ferro Lounge last night.

Apart from a hiccup at the start (the table they'd prepared for us couldn't accommodate us all - rectified after a bit) we had a great evening.

The prebooked festive menu had limited selections but everyone I spoke to was very impressed with their food.

I had open mushroom pie with sweet potato mash and broccoli spears, which was a generous portion, piping hot and delicious. I followed this with the cheese platter, which again was a good portion and nice quality cheeses and accompaniments.

Table service drinks ordered through an app worked very efficiently. Would have liked to order a glass of port to go with our cheese, but none was available. Had to make do with a cocktail instead - oh what a hardship (not!).

Staff were pleasant and one chap who'd been on a very long shift was still good humoured at the end of the night.

The whole evening exceeded our expectations. Thanks to...

The food was good but the service was really slow. The flatbread marked on the menu as served warm, always completely cold when I dot it, but flavours were pretty ok. However, I asked for half a cup of hot water to warm up some baby milk. I was told I could not have a cup of hot water at a table for health and safety reasons. I asked for an empty cup, as I had how water to make up formula with me. That was a no, too. The lady was very nice and apologetic, saying she doesnt get it either as they serve hot drinks, but thats the policy... I was informed I could give the milk to the bar staff, and they would warm it up in hot water. I did so. I collected the bottle after I finished the meal - milk was the same temperature as when i gave it to the staff member and the girl at the bar wiped the outside of the bottle with the same cloth she was wiping the bar or the coffee machine. This was the first time I encountered something like this. Very strange and rather...

A mixed bag here, really cosy looking place, dog friendly. Met at the door and seated, then . . . Nothing after 15 minutes ( during which my wife fell heavily at the top of the concrete stairs, they have a nosing on them that she tripped on) I went to find some service to be told you order at the bar, could have done with knowing and saved quite a bit of time. The food was fine. Burger messy but nice chips bit greasy but fine.only thing the ciabatta my wife had would have been quite a bit better toasted. Really not pleased with the very greasy table we sat at , and I'm not normally fussy but this was bad , and not in a not been cleaned properly once way, this was a never been done with detergent way. Had high hopes and tge place has the foundations of a great quirky , cosy place bit does need...

Apart from the fact that my phone decided it couldn't pay for the meal (we went to the till and ordered), it was a very good late lunch. A frequent visitor to the 'Lounge' chain, I often have the same thing: the aubergine hummus flatbread. For the first ever time, everything mentioned on the menu was included: crispy chickpeas and pomegranate seeds are often missed. The flatbread was also 'right', not like a burned biscuit (Banbury) or swimming in oil (Daventry). The fresh herbs were also a lovely touch, and the sweet potato fries were very good. His lordship had one of his usuals: buttermilk fried chicken with BBQ sauce. His verdict: hot and very tasty.

First time at this place,I went there to meet with some friends, and is a decent place for drinks and snacks/food. The service was fast, the food was ok but nothing special. The soup had the texture of baby food and the ciabatta was just ok. Sweet potato chips were very, very nice, couldn’t stop eating them! The atmosphere is very nice, with large paintings and comfy chairs and sofas. If you are looking for the toilets, it’s best to ask, otherwise you will get lost. Overall a good choice. If you beleive this review has been helpful for you, please don’t forget to press the šŸ‘ button and also to check my other reviews.Thank you.

A great place for a bite to eat and socialising with friends and the dog. The welcome host was good and the food was enjoyable. The basic drinks order was slow to arrive and had to be remade. That's the only downside. This is a very dog friendly space so take fido and pay a visit. St Neots is a small but very charming market town on the River Ouse. If you're staying in Cambridge this is one market town worth exploring.
