My husband booked a table for 5:30pm on the 14th of July, this was for our 17th Wedding Anniversary dinner, as we both love all things Italian.
We were greeted with such warmth and asked where we would like to sit. We sat by the window so we could look out over the square. The restaurant is spotless and beautifully decorated, very Italian feel to the decor and the atmosphere was very relaxing.
We decided on trying a couple of Spritz drinks as a treat, I had the Pink Spritz and Simon had a Rossini Spritz, both were beautifully refreshing.
Now onto the food, for starters I ordered the Frittura Calamari and Gamberi, which was divine! Freshly cooked to perfection and could have eaten another plate! My husband had the Mozzarella Pizza Bread with Caramelised Red Onion, I tried a slice and we both agreed that the pizza base was spot on and we were both very happy with everything so far.
For the mains, I ordered the Tagliatelle Sapori D'Italia, which was prawns and squid with black garlic, onion, courgette and white wine with Pecorino...... It was without a doubt, the best pasta dish I've eaten outside of Italy in years, the flavours were perfectly balanced and it was to die for, especially the black garlic, I had to stop myself from licking the plate. Simon had the Ravioli alla Caprese, being a fussy vegetarian, he is hard to please but he absolutely loved the Ravioli, we both agree that portion size is plentiful and was well presented and the quality was first class.
We opted for the traditional Tiramisu for dessert, this was lovely and creamy but our only criticism was that it needed more coffee and Tia Maria flavour.
We complimented the chef and staff on an amazing meal and will definitely be going back to try more off the varied menu. They could do with a few more options on the Pasta menu for Vegetarians, however, I get the feeling that if you ask then the chef will happily oblige to try and adjust a recipe to your tastes.
Thank you for a wonderful anniversary meal and the Limoncello shots on the house were a nice touch to finish our meal.

Read moreWent here on Saturday for our 50th wedding anniversary as a group of 17. Between us we had many different starters, mains and deserts. There were no food complaints from any of the group about any dish. Even though there were 17 of us all food per course were served together with no one sitting around waiting while others ate. The food was delicious with more than enough on the plates and at a reasonable price. Service was very good with the waiters ensuring we were being well looked after (without being intrusive). This is not our first time eating here and once again the food did not disappoint. Most of us diners, being Italian, we can honestly say the food and service was great. Thank you to Kadir and all his friendly team for making our afternoon so enjoyable. I would highly recommend Sapori d'Italia to anyone wanting to eat a good Italian meal. We...
Read moreMy husband and I had an incredible lunch experience at Sapori D’Italia a few weeks ago. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed and treated with top-notch hospitality. The service was truly excellent — our waitress was attentive, friendly, and made us feel comfortable. We started with the antipasta melanzane alla parmigiana, full of authentic Italian flavors. For the main course, my husband had the linguine al granchio, which was rich and flavorful, while I enjoyed the lasagna della casa — easily one of the best I’ve ever had. To finish, we shared a pannacotta and chocolate soufflé — both were absolutely divine and the perfect end to a perfect meal. Highly recommend Sapori D’Italia for anyone looking for delicious, authentic Italian food paired with outstanding customer service. We’ll definitely...
