I’m sure it’s ok if you’re not served by a person called Georgia. Totally unprovoked we were not the only people who experienced her poor attitude that day. We have also made a formal complaint to Costa coffee.
Visited this Costa coffee a few weeks back. We walked in and queued up for a coffee and cake, the person serving us was called Georgia (checked name badge and receipt), she gave us the most hostile look, it was unreal. We had done nothing to provoke that attitude, we’d literally walked in a minute prior. We proceeded to place our drinks order order, the cakes counter was virtually bare so I politely asked if there were any Cinnamon Swirls. I should not have been surprised but Georgia quite rudely replied with ‘it’s whatever’s out’, by then we were disgusted with her attitude anyway, but we’d travelled from far and shopped quite a bit so were in real need for a hot drink.
What was pretty shocking was that 5 minutes later we watched her fill the cakes counter up fully! So my question is, should she have not got us the Cinnamon Swirl or better still, told us she’ll be filling the counter up in a short while so she’ll bring it over? In this day and age people visit coffee places a lot, this is the first time we’ve experienced such rudeness and poor service, and we regularly visit Costa coffee shops all over the country!
We also asked for hot milk and she totally ignored us, her colleague Jazz noticed her attitude towards customers and politely got us the milk and apologised fo Georgia’s bad attitude.
When sat down with our drinks, it came to light it wasn’t just us who had experienced Georgia’s terrible attitude, as we overheard people sat on the table next to us saying they were going to complain about her.
Now she may have been having a bad day, I appreciate this happens to the best of us. She may have experienced a rude customer prior to us walking in.But there’s no excuse for her attitude towards other customers who were polite and friendly and just wanted to be treated with a bit of respect, and receive good service.
If Georgia cannot handle this, or control her attitude, she’s clearly working in the wrong environment. She should maybe work in an environment with minimal customer interaction. Or maybe receive some people skills training? I also imagine her to be a nightmare to work alongside, especially in such a stressful and demanding environment!
I will be making a formal complaint to Costa, as her behaviour towards us and other paying customers was totally unprovoked and unfair. I’m sure it is not the reputation Costa want, and expect far better service and attitude from...
Read moreI’m appalled and disgusted to have witnessed bullying behaviour today at costa. It was busy, out of the 3 baristas only one was making the drinks and then serving them to the tables, as they were running behind. It seemed like she had no help from her colleagues. The lady who showed the awful manner towards her colleague has a European accent, so if you are at costa please be aware of her. She should not be allowed to behave in a manner that that is unacceptable with any colleague or customer. Such behaviour should not be tolerated. I rang costa to complain about the behaviour I witnessed, I hope action is taken against her. I was deeply upset to see such open bullying behaviour in a public work place....
Read moreI wouldn't say I'm a frequent visitor to Costa, cause with their prices, it more of a treat but I sha'nt be going back to the one on New Street, Huddersfield, any time soon......... myself and my daughter had toast and tea & a juice. We got a seat straight away, as it wasn't real busy but unfortunately it was not a nice experience... the tea was cold, no milk, no side plates, (toast just piled on a big plate) not enough butter, no napkins and no knives and...... they put butter on top of the toast so was completely melted and dripped all over the table and of course we had no napkins to clean it up. Gone...
