The Ladz Huddersfield — Restaurant in Kirklees

Had a fantastic meal at The Ladz Huddersfield today! My husband and I needed to eat something before Stereophonics concert it was Saturday (14/06) at around 4pm and we so this place, The food was absolutely delicious and very tasty , definitely hit the spot and lived up to expectations.

It was really busy when we visited, which makes the service we received even more impressive. A huge shout-out to the young lad working the counter. He was handling everything taking orders, serving customers, managing the flow – all by himself, and he did it brilliantly. Despite clearly being rushed off his feet, he remained incredibly kind, polite, and efficient throughout. He was a real credit to the place! Our food arrived perfectly on time, which was amazing considering how swamped he was.

We did notice it seemed quite short-staffed, with just one other young chap helping out in the kitchen alongside him. While things looked stretched thin, it honestly didn't negatively impact our experience thanks to the counter lad's fantastic efforts.

Overall: Don't be put off if it's busy! The food is top-notch and the service, particularly from the young man running the front, is exceptional even under pressure. We'll definitely be back for more of that tasty food. A massive thank you to that polite and hardworking lad on the counter – you made our visit...

I ordered a collection order, when I got there the food was cold, the sweet potato fries had no warmth to them at all and my strips and wrap were also mildly cold.

They also forgot something off my order. When I rang up to complain and get my food or money back they came up with lousy excuses. They said that they have no drivers so they couldn’t drop off my food (there was about 6-7 people on the kitchen). They said I have to come back to get it which would have been a huge pain because I already used up my lunch break at work traveling there.

The excuse that they used for the item being left off my order was that the original order receipt that they had printed off didn’t have it on. Whereas when they printed it a second time after I’d complained it magically appeared. To me this is just another lazy excuse.

Overall I would have expected such a big order (£100) would have been treated with more care and attention than this. If you want to eat some bang average chicken with terrible lousy service I’d highly recommend this place. If you’d rather eat better food with better service then I’d recommend their competitors...

I recently visited Ladz Restaurant and had a genuinely great experience. I tried the Ladz Smash Burger and the Peri Chicken Pita—both were bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection. The Smash Burger, in particular, is a must-try—juicy, well-seasoned, and easily one of the best I've had!

What really stood out was the service. Since I forgot to mention my student discount at the time of ordering, they kindly offered me complimentary chicken wings—a thoughtful and generous gesture that truly reflects how much they value their customers.

The atmosphere at Ladz is clean, neat, and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy your meal. A special mention to Malik, who provided excellent customer service with a professional and kind attitude throughout. His warm approach added a personal touch to the dining experience.
