Crispy — Restaurant in Leeds

Really, really crispy. The one star hygeine rating does not reflect the 5 star experience I had here. That "one star" of hygeine cleansed me more than any bath I have ever taken. I went here at 12:19am and the ambiance lulled me into a trance-like state. Time didn't seem to pass, and before I knew it I had a warm parcel of cheesy chips and gravy. My depression disappeared, my anxiety long gone. While elbow deep in a pool of cheesy gravy I even received a phone call from my father who went missing in 2008. As I finished my meal the smiles on the faces of the loyal staff put my soul at peace, the hot gravy taming the fire within my restless vessel. Each slice of melting cheese was tenderly wrapped around my heartstrings as the sizzling chips kept my heart beating. I came back to my senses at 3 am, I knew I was not in my humble house but I truly felt at home. Seriously if I could give this disgusting, dismal place zero stars I certainly would. We went in there for a "Chippy tea"" and ordered fish, chips and mushy peas. We waited inside for 30 minutes then our order was given to us partially cooked, the fish batter was all soggy and undercooked with grey fish inside that smelt off. the chips didn't even look like chips at all but mis-shaped potatoes with 'eyes' and black bits on them and the peas were freezing cold and just sloshed all over the chips and not in a seperate tub as you usually get in other chip shops. went back to the counter and the two lads serving were unapologetic, unhelpful and refused to refund our money, next to add to all this another guy cooking dropped chips on the floor and picked them up with his bare hands and put them in someone else's order. if you don't want serious food poisoning then avoid this place...

Have been going to Crispys for a couple years, food and service normally fine. However unfortunately today the guy at the counter was rude taking my order, then as I was waiting for my pizza I saw him eyeing up a group of girls. After the girls left he very confrontationally asked me what I was doing standing around, to which I responded that I was waiting for the pizza I had ordered 20 minutes before. It ended up taking 30 minutes to get the pizza, it was wasn’t fully cooked.

The strangest part is they had 4/5 people working, yet even with it not being busy they couldn’t manage to make a single pizza. Maybe if the staff didn’t focus on staring at and flirting with young girls they would be able to actually do...
