Appalling customer service. Do not waste your hard earned money here. 7 of us went out to celebrate a 60th birthday. We got the bill at the end and spotted several errors. The first error being that their birthday promotion states a free drink, main meal and dessert, as well as a bottle of bubbly to take away (even shown on the poster in the restaurant by the table we sat on). When the bill came they had charged for all of the birthday items, I queried this and they then asked what he had had. I thought it was bad that the table was covered in decorations and a 60 balloon, yet they never took note as to what he he ordered, so it would save all the hassle at the end of getting the bill changed. The second issue was that the hot drinks (5x in total) had all been charged through twice. When I pointed this out, the waiter said it all looks fine to him. I had to physically show him the receipt and point them out one by one until he eventually understood. He returned the bill and had only removed 1 of the double drinks. I had to ask again for it to be corrected. As it was being corrected, I asked a lady for the free bottle of birthday bubbly to take away (again as advertised on the poster). The woman said she will go check. She never returned. We eventually got fed up of waiting, we paid the bill (minus the service charge after all the hassle we had). We went downstairs to try and find the lady and disappointedly, found her stood chatting to the waiter we had previously dealt with, only she had her coat on and was obviously ready for her shift to end. We approached them and queried where the bottle was. Her and the man came over and said they haven’t done that in 10 years. I said, to confirm, the poster is 10 years old? He said yes and shook it off like it was no big deal. Legally, I know that when something is advertised, regardless to it being wrong, it must be honoured. This wasn’t honoured. Throughout the many issues with the bill, then this, not once was there an apology. In total we saved £65 from the errors we corrected. We will not be returning. Thank you Ginos for ruining a 60th birthday and having awful customer service. I hope you finally get round to changing your out of date posters, as well as your...
Read moreWhere to start? Perhaps with when we were ushered to the restuarant around the corner from the main restaurant. Party of 5 of us for Birthday dinner (partners 30th), put upstairs; at the back, next to a group booking of 15children and their adults.
How theyve crammed seating for 100 into an area fit to seat 30 i will never know.
Waitress seemed annoyed from the outset.
The food menu comes with more terms and conditions that my new mobile: cant guarantee nut free, sharing food is strictly prohibited, management reserves the right to change prices without prior warning, dishes marked with * arent part of the celebration offer, group bookings of are subject to a £40 non-refundable deposit.
Had to ask for a drinks menu.
Had to ask for a childrens menu (we have a single 6year old with us). Didnt ask about any dietary requirements despite one of our party members having crohns.
Starters came and were relatively decent.
Then there was an hour wait between our starter and main course, noone came to check if we wanted more drinks (why would they try SQUEEZE through the rat run of chairs)
. Waiter lifted plates over members of our parties heads; a huge no-no.
Finished our main 20 minutes ago, noone has come to collect plates yet (writing this review as i wait)
I'll finish my update later after we finish but god help them if they try add a service charge at the end, because there has been absolutely no service thus fat
Update: after another 25minutes of waiting with dessert menus, we decided to give up, had to sit with my hand raised 5 minutes to get attention to ask for the bill.
Mentioned noone had checked on us all meal, instead of apologising, he called over another waiter and said 'you checked on these people yes?' (To which he replied he hadnt) and they just sort of shrugged it...

Day time visit, Sion as the doors opened, great service so friendly, got a standard wheel chair in but I feel with good communication with them at busy times they would accommodate the space for larger chairs. Food amazing. Very friendly, good communication. Ask him for recommendations. They're happy to share and they also tried us on a new drink at the end of the meal. I don't know if it's like a pallet cleansing drink but it was lemon. It was fresh. It was lovely. Little bit strong lol but wow
Visit again... 2024 did a lunchtime visit and wow was lovely, really nice. Felt like a personal service, food as always. Hot full of flavour. Good size portions.
Fantastic evening.
In short .... Lasagna, vegetable pesto pasta and carbonara. They do have the proper names. Lasagna was a good size made in the traditional way. Full of meat which isn't all the case in a lot of places ... Gino shows them how they should be made full of flavour, they didn't kill it with cheese. The veg, pesto pasta - daughter is a fussy one and worse with textures but the good is just right ... Full of peppers packed with flavour. Again a good size portion. Carbonara... Creamy pots with flavour. Lots of bacon. Really good size portion. If you're going to go, go hungry... Where did it get out of garlic bread fries . Food piping hot. I have to say I feel we paid the right price for the food.
The venue was clean and the staff was attentive.
One thing would say is they could loose a table or two just to off a little more space I know it reduces foot fall but you did feel a little sat on down stairs. The number of times ppl caught my chair or rubbed past.... if you was of any size some areas down stairs may make you feel uncomfortable. . Don't let that out you off it's...
