I ordered Margarita pizza on an original classic crust with chicken and bacon Cesar salad. The pizza only got a 5.2 out of 10. The flavours were good in the cheese and tomato sauce but as a pizza it flopped, didn't hold it's own. The crusts were very thick but the middle was so thin I've seen thicker paper. Also pizza base slightly burnt and just didnt have that crunch. The flavours were good but texture let it down. The chicken and bacon Cesar salad however was out of this world. A 9.4 out of 10! The chicken was seasoned well, the bacon was so good and salty which complimented the vibrantly fresh salad and sauce and the generous shavings of parmesan was a fantastic touch. If I had to pick fault i would say the toasted bread in the salad could have been diced smaller into cubes instead of having big chunks of bread, but that would be really nitpicking. Really impressed with the salad. That said I came here for the pizza... the service was good and the place looks awesome inside, you can see the kitchen and it all looks very clean. Overall I'd say 3.8 out of 5. The service was good the place is good the flavours are good. If only that pizza base hit the spot and was slightly thicker and crunchier this could have been a high scoring 4.

Crust restaurant is a haven for pizza enthusiasts, and their pizzas are nothing short of sensational. The perfect blend of crispiness and flavor leaves a lingering satisfaction with every bite. The truffle and Parmesan fries were a revelation – generously doused in truffle oil, the fries boasted a delightful crunch and an abundance of savory goodness. The portion size was impressively generous, making it a delightful shared indulgence. While the pasta Bolognese didn't quite live up to the pizza's standard, it was still enjoyable, if somewhat ordinary. The taste leaned heavily on tomato paste, lacking the depth one might expect from a classic Bolognese. The beer on tap was a refreshing complement to the meal, offering a diverse selection to pair with the delectable dishes. The attentive service elevated the dining experience, with staff displaying a keen eye for detail. The restaurant's interior is tastefully decorated, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. In summary, Crust stands out for its superb pizzas, flavorful fries, and an overall dining experience that leaves you eager to return for another round of mouth-watering delights.

Crust is a great spot on Bold Street for pizza, pasta, and beer. The place has a cozy industrial vibe with soft lighting, and it gets really busy around dinner. If you don’t want to queue, go after 7:30 pm. The pizzas here are award winning, with different bases like original, five grain, black dough, organic, and even gluten free. I tried the Napoletana — wood fired with a perfect balance of crispy edges and a slightly soft center. The tomato sauce, mushrooms, and mozzarella worked beautifully together. Authentic and delicious! For starters, the Prosciutto Di Parma was simple but excellent, thin Parma ham with buffalo mozzarella, no heavy dressing, just fresh and flavorful. The Pan Fried Prawns (more like shrimp in size) came in a generous portion, full of garlic butter aroma, paired with cherry tomatoes, arugula, and basil on crispy Tuscan bread, so good! The Lasagna was rich and hearty, with beef and tangy tomato sauce, very satisfying. And the Classic Lemonade was refreshing, perfect to balance out the richness of the food. Overall, if you enjoy proper Italian pizza and tasty starters, Crust is definitely worth a visit.

The food was absolutely stunning, I really enjoyed all of it - which makes it an even greater shame that I cannot give this place 5 stars. The reason being comes down to the service of one particular waiter which did unfortunately leave me feeling very uncomfortable before the food had arrived.

For many years I have been battling an eating disorder which leaves me with a restricted diet of safe foods. Needless to say this obviously limits what I can have when I decide to eat out. I also cannot eat a large amount, so my partner and I decided before we stepped foot in the building that we would simply split a pizza and share some sides. Upon ordering our food, when we said we just wanted to split a pizza we were met with an immediate disapproving look which already started to make me feel a little uncomfortable. We then said which pizza we wanted, which was just a plain old margherita and the decision was met with him explaining to my partner the other choices on the menu. He was very insistent that we should choose a different pizza and I was forced to make up an excuse saying that I am a fussy eater, because I wasn't just about to tell my life story to this waiter due to his clearly strong feelings about our choice in food. After I stated that I was "fussy" he just looked at me, sighed, shook his head and said "you're missing out".

That one interaction made me feel so uncomfortable, embarrassed and unwelcome that I wanted to leave there and then. The only reason we stayed was because both my partner and I felt too awkward to do so.

Don't get me wrong, I am very glad we stayed - as I said the food was great - but that one interaction with that one waiter was just humiliating for me. I understand it seems like such a small thing and others may see it as petty, but when you have had such a strained and emotional relationship with food for over 20 years, these things that would seem small to someone else are incredibly large to me and others who suffer the same as me.

The rest of the staff were lovely and I would love to go back again, but at the same time I'd be nervous that a similar interaction would happen with this same waiter if I went. It's honestly a real shame. I'm sure the waiter didn't mean anything by it, he was probably just trying to get us to buy something more expensive or something, but these types of interactions can be uncomfortable or even harmful to people dealing with or recovering from eating disorders. My food choice in a restaurant has NEVER been pulled up by a waiter/waitress and I don't think it ever should be. It can leave people feeling judged and embarrassed, which is obviously not how a business aims to make its...

Went on a day that wasn’t busy at all, food arrived quickly and was amazing however the biggest let down was the service from some of the staff. One lady who took our orders for starters rushed us when taking our order. She asked what mains we’d like so We asked for her to come back in a moment as the person I was with hadn’t decided and she took the menus. I asked politely if she could leave the menus as he still hadnt’t decided what he wanted and she replied saying she’d come and give them back in a moment but didn’t come back at all. Unsure why she insisted on taking the menus as there were plenty of menus on the empty tables surrounding. Starters arrived and were absolutely amazing! However still nobody had come to order our mains. I was on the lookout for staff that looked available however they payed no notice to our table at all and were rushing past constantly although doing seemingly nothing important (adjusting cutlery on empty tables, ensuring the entrance door was properly closed). It had at this point been at least 20 minutes since we had finished our starters and nobody had checked on us once. Finally I asked a man if he could take our order and he did with no apologies after explaining that nobody had come yet. After this the night ran smoothly, mains were amazing! Soon another woman who was genuinely amazing and began checking on us regularly started serving our table. She asked if our food was ok and if we needed anything every so often and we finally felt comfortable in the restaurant where we had previously felt ignored and like inconveniences so thank you to her!

Overall the food was amazing and I would recommend the food to anyone but I think the service we received will prevent me from returning again...
