We went here yesterday to escape the stifling heat at 4.30pm.
The female member of staff was working alone, I don't know if that was contributing to her foul mood. We bought 2 waters, and coffee then went back up for a doughnut for the kids to share. (Kids reported it was absolutely delicious).
My child asked if member of staff could cut the doughnut in half for them, and was told no they can't do that. She was so sour and acted as though giving them a wooden knife to do it themselves was the most inconvenient thing she'd ever been asked to do.
I then went back up and asked for 2 side plates. "It's take away only now" was the only thing she kept repeating to me, so I asked if that meant they couldn't eat the doughnut inside. " it's take away only now" she said again. No plates given. For GOD'S SAKE please please train this woman how to interact with customers. She didn't explain why you were closing an hour early (I surmised possibly they were nearly out of doughnut stock?)
My ten year old daughter could have done a better job at making customers feel welcome, and both kids noticed just how rude and disengaged this member of staff is.
Really annoyed. Won't ever return and just couldn't wait to get away from her...
Read more£3 for a dry doughnut with no filling - awful. I went here to see what the rave was about, I asked a gent on the street where the shop was as I am not local, I asked them what he thought and he said "I wouldn't rave about them, about the same as ASDA's". I went in the shop and there wasn't a huge selection, this was around 11am - only 6 varieties. I ordered 2 doughnuts, they were both incredibly dry, no filling and lack of toppings in both doughnuts despite being told there would be. I contacted Doogles and sent images and told of my disappointment only to be told "well thousands of others can't be wrong". Really rude customer service. I wouldn't say there was anything special about these doughnuts, to be fair the ones in Sainsburys are nicer and have...
Read moreI’m a regular customer, having been to this Doogles 95 times since it opened in January 2023 according to my google location history. And every time I've had a great experience. The staff are always polite and accommodating, the coffee tastes great black or with milk, the donuts are always delightful including the new flavours that come out every month and generally, it’s a nice big shop with lots of space and seating, great for hanging out with friends / family, and a nice view of the docks out the window, it’s very cosy in the winter too. If you’re near the docks and want a sweet treat or a coffee, definitely check...
