Updated review. Had a burger here this evening, undercooked and very pink. Sent back and head chef agreed it was undercooked... Refund issued for food and my drink due to this. On speaking to the bar manager, he assured me this burger was cooked for the correct amount of time and probed for temperature (this burger was not hot throughout), stating the burger was cooked correctly. My argument being how can you have cooked this properly If an undercooked burger was served to a customer. I've eaten here on and off for a period of six months living locally, I only ever eat the burgers!! , great cosy little place and food usually good. However this time around I was surprised to have been served a very very pink burger. I'm now sat at home, a little worried..... having suffered food poisoning a couple of years ago, which caused a severe reaction! Something I'm very serious to avoid again. Sadly, I've decided that I will no longer eat here again after the experience based on the fact that the food is being "correctly cooked" but served undercooked. Why should I be checking my food, having put my trust in professional cooks who are trained and tasked to cook food properly and SAFELY.. Which on this occasion, was not the case. If you're not checking this food before it leaves the kitchen, then what are you doing? If you're going to offer a properly cooked rare, medium or well done burger to customers you need to be asking them which they prefer. Shame. Images attached do not do justice.

Been before, better last time, had breakfast here, a few years back. Nice food, long wait at the time we visited, Friday afternoon. Portion sizes where on the small side. I would have went for the pudding here, as I was still hungry after the 3 tapas and side of chips I ordered. Mrs H was also still hungry (very unusual for her) after her Blackbean, butternut squash and rice bowl (plus the rough outer skin was left on the butternut squash - I tried it - it was like trying to eat lino) she didn't appreciate the slacking on the prep there at all. So.. we contemplated pudding to fill up.. but thought it best to go somewhere else for dessert (especially with "Heavenly Desserts" over the road) as I we didn't want to risk further disappointment. Probably won't come back for a while, I'll wait for some potential adjustments, like a change of kitchen team, if you know what I mean. It's worth mentioning the front of house team where awesome.

Visited Brasco Lounge, Monday morning at 9am for a breakfast and WOW what a wide choice and what a feast! freshly cooked bacon, fried eggs, sausages, beans, tomato, hash browns, mushroom, black pudding and two slices of toast. The quality of the food is superb as was the fresh coffee. Jay and his staff were polite and attentive. Nothing was too much for them in this beautifully and tastefully decorated restaurant. For its sheer size, quality and more importantly taste this has to be the best value breakfast in Liverpool. The location of this tastefully decorated and homely restaurant is superb. The outside seating give an excellent view of the canal boats entering the Mann Island lock en-route to Liverpools Salthouse Dock moorings. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Visited today. I have a severe gluten allergy and not only does this restaurant have a load of choices for people like me but the staff seem to be helpful and know a lot about allergies and intolerances. Food was delivered in half an hour despite the restaurant being extremely busy.

The food was absolutely wonderful. Halloumi fries, bbq chicken wings and the juice were all amazing. The lounge burger tasted phenomenal but lacked the juiciness and texture you could find at other places.

Pets are also allowed, that’s nice.

Considering a) the amount of food, and b) the quality of food, around £32 per person isn’t bad at all.

The burger comes with a large amount of coleslaw and chips, which were soft, crunchy and tasted nice.

Desert was amazing, if you go here I would suggest you get these foods: Maple BBQ chicken wings, steak(medium), lounge burger, halloumi fries, ice cream sundae(with brownies chunks), buttermilk fried chicken, and I’m sure there’s more nice foods I haven’t tried.

Overall, not too expensive, loads of options for people with allergies, pet friendly environment, not that long of a wait for food to arrive, and friendly/knowledgable staff. 10/10 experience, would come...

Booked a table for 18 people back in April for family event in August. Spoke to member of staff at time who said they noted my booking request for 12:30pm after I called to say I could only book for 4pm online. They said not to worry and that it would be fine. Explained this was a meal after scattering a relatives ashes on the Mersey and that one guest was wheelchair bound. Staff member told me he had made a note and it was all fine. Called the week of the meal and told by member of staff that they don’t accept booking before 4pm and that she didn’t know what to do. Relatives travelling down from Newcastle, one relative wheelchair bound now having to try and find a specific disability friendly venue at the last minute. Told by lady on phone to just try and see if they had availability on the day. Turned up on the day to a full restaurant, large table with about 20 men on. Lady said they had ‘had lots of bookings’ for that time, quickly changed to walk ins when she realised she was telling the person she had said no to table bookings. Turned away with no where else to go. Awful service. Lady in reception said numerous times ‘I don’t know what to do…’ how about honour...
