Absolutely despicable the mannerism of ALL staff members in the upstairs restaurant!! Arrived at 9 am after Sunday service at church nearby and thought I’d treat myself to a nice breakfast as place looked of decent quality. I had a train to catch after so asked if I could place an order at the till rather than wait and the lady at till said no because ‘she needed a table number’ so I grabbed a menu and sat on a table but there was no table number to be found and took a moment to finalise what I want and with no time to waste got up to order at till as needed to go to the ladies also. The same lady and another lady behind the bar looked at me as if surprised. The pause whilst they looked at me felt so uncomfortable I had to repeat as they just kept looking at me like as if I was an alien?! So once again I repeated… Can I place an order now please and a man came from behind blue eyes around 6ft dark blonde hair… …’YOU CLEARLY DON’T SEEM TO UNDERSTAND THIS IS RESTAURANT SERVICE’ I politely replied I understand but I’m on my way to the ladies and there’s no table number but I’d like to be efficient (something that seemed lacking in the place) he raised his voice and my mood went from peaceful ( was in church moments earlier) to being like in hell!! I told him he was rude and ALL the staff members stood next to him supported him by giving my uncomfortable dirty looks. I stormed out nearly in tears shouting how rude they were and upset that I started my morning 7.30 in church to be encountered with RUDE people particularly the man upstairs. He clearly had issues he was bringing into work and to customers he chose to release his anger on but other staff near him looking at me disgustingly DID NOT apologise or explain in any nicer tone. There was nothing polite or customer service worthy and first visit here is obviously my last. For me manners come first even if you aren’t a friendly person it is a choice to be pleasant particularly at work which I hope these people learn should be to all and not just the rich looking customers as it seemed they were also judging me for not coming across well off. Absolutely disgusted and now I’ll spend rest of my Sunday lifting my mood destroyed by ignorant rude and clearly very unfriendly staff....

Tried calling Farina several times to book a table but couldn’t get through, so we decided to walk in instead. We were seated quickly, but told upfront that we’d only have about 1 hour and 20 minutes - fair enough on a busy night, but it ended up feeling much more rushed than that. Food arrived quickly and was actually very nice, which makes it all the more disappointing that the service let the experience down. A waiter started clearing the table while I was still eating, which felt quite rude, and shortly after, a waitress placed the bill on our table while we were still finishing our drinks, no offer of dessert or another round. We were in and out in under an hour, and it genuinely felt like we were an inconvenience.

It’s a real shame because the owner came across as friendly and welcoming when we arrived, and the food showed promise. But the staff’s attitude left a bad impression, and unfortunately, that’s what...

We visited today, it was a busy Sunday lunch service but we were served quickly with a panzerotto starters, and drinks.

We both had a pasta dish. My wife had a beautiful beef dish that we joke was like an 'Italian Scouse' it was full of flavour, the beef melted in your mouth in a rich oniony broth with fragrant rosemary.

I had the ravioli which was delicious with panchetta and a beautiful sauce that finished with a kick of feenel.

As someone who prides himself in his espresso Martinis I had to try thier version, and I wasn't disappointed, it was beautiful with a hint of sweet hazelnut syrup but with that bitter coffee kick.

Quality all around. Will definitely return, and Hey Farina! will be getting recommended to all of our friends.

I'd also like to put in a good word for Raphael, who always makes sure I'm looked after when I pop in before a Sunday shift for a coffee. Excellent...

I stopped by Farina Pasta & Cucina Italiana for lunch, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The setup is simple — you pick your pasta and sauce, and they cook it fresh while you wait — but the quality really stands out. I had the black truffle and mushroom tagliatelle, which was rich, creamy, and full of earthy flavour. The pasta was perfectly cooked — fresh, silky, and with just enough bite. My friend went for the pesto prawns with fusilli, and it was just as good — fragrant, full of basil, and generous with the prawns. The place has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, ideal for a casual lunch in the city centre. Service was quick, the portions were generous, and the prices were very fair for the quality. If you’re around Williamson Square and craving proper fresh pasta, Farina is well worth a visit.

This is a new spot in town but it deserves the hype it is already getting. The carbonara is the best I’ve had in the city - the pasta is fresh and the meat is good quality. There is a large selection of sides, I loved the Hey Farina focaccia (with potato!), the crispy pepperoni focaccia and the pesto focaccia which is green! The staff are always so friendly and appreciative of your custom. The value is amazing, especially for the portions of pasta and for getting 2 bits of focaccia per portion. It’s a no pressure type vibe where you don’t need to dress up but you know you’ll leave feeling full and very content. The best Italian spot in town.

Drawn in by the Cute little deli and immediately blown away by the food! (And the PRICE). In this current climate, it’s hard to eat out all the time but when we do, this Italian place will be top of our list. The food quality is up there with the 4-5 stars restaurants. These are the dishes we tried and oh god, they were all amazing especially the homemade ARACINI with a surprise inside: Aracini rice balls, meatballs, panzerotti, seafood linguine, croquettes!
