Basically refused service when the resteraunt was empty was told it will be an hours wait atleast for a kebab... the sight of the restaurant when I was leaving... why on earth do I need to contact you again I have told you the issue I left as a angry and hungry customer never to return and you can see the staff that are working ask them! The staff where apparently overwhelmed due to a large order it's ridiculous so should every resteraunt stop service when a order for 5+ people comes in? Ridiculous doesn't express how stupid that sounds! You sell like 5 products that kitchen should never be overwhelmed and if online orders effect sit in orders then you should already know what I'm going to say!? A proper response would be better before I share this review elsewhere, what topped my experience off was how unwilling the staff where to do the job and serve me as a paying customer that used to eat here atleast once a week but service has gotten worse and worse to the point you and the cashier will end up in a staring competition for 10 mins at the till before she/he offers to take your order! I assume so the kitchen doesn't back up when most kebab shops are selling 1000s no problem these guys struggle to put out 5! And a month to reply is a joke too level of customer service is appalling

Really conflicted with my thoughts about this place as a German. The meat had the quality I was hoping for, the salad was fresh. But that's it with the things positive about the food. Waiting about 15 min to get one kebab, eating it straight outside. The kebab was cold after unwrapping several layers of packaging and trying to add the sauces. I asked for the kebab to eat straight away with out any additional packaging. Was told that those are the guideline, not sure what to make of it as a customer who wants to eat his kebab fresh and warm. Not too sure about the bread bun if it is actually self made, it just fell apart within the few minutes the meat/salad was inside the bread. This place is clearly the closest you can get to a real German kebab anywhere in Liverpool, but there is still huge improvements to be made. Would definitely not recommend this place for delivery, the product won't stay warm until you get it. Eat it right then and there. I hope you see this post as positive criticism and hope we will see some changes in the future.

Perfectly adequate but expected more. Had the original kebab with hot cheese sauce. Was only just warm and that was with table service. The kebab itself didn't have a lot of flavour and the cheese sauce that I paid extra for had no flavour at all. The quality was ok but only to the standard of your normal kebab shop in Bristol. Portion was a touch smaller than I expected from the pictures and the price. There was nothing wrong with it but honestly I probably wouldn't choose this particular restaurant again with so many options in this awesome City. The staff were lovely and friendly though and a lovely chap offered me the drink from his meal as he didn't want it, which was a really nice random act of kindness and much appreciated as I didn't want a meal deal due to not liking fries. The presentation of the kebab was excellent, picture to reference.

Shocking service & disappointing quality at GDK Liverpool on 28/03/25

I don't have a GDK branch anywhere near me, but was in Liverpool and had the chance of a visit there.

A few weeks back I contacted the GDK via social media to check on the meat ingredients as I'm allergic to garlic, which isn't a listed allergen but is listed on the whole ingredient list of food products. They were totally friendly and confirmed it was suitable for me.

I was really looking forward to finally trying a GDK - that's one thing I miss since moving to the UK.

I didn't expect too much, as I've learned that German food in other countries always tastes different. Doesn't mean that it's always bad though.

Sadly, the experience was a total disappointment. (Please bear with me, as this might be a slightly longer explanation.)

Displayed on the screen - in case of allergies, talk to the staff. So we did and explained my garlic allergy. The lady who was behind the counter referred straight to the allergen and nutrition sheet, which is right and I am used to. However, as it's not a listed allergen, the sheet isn't helpful to me. We explained this, and I asked to check the ingredients of the sauces. She didn't, but said "it should be ok". I explained I didn't want to risk anything and asked again if she could check the ingredients. She reluctantly grabbed a tub of yoghurt sauce and read out loud the ingredients, which were ok. She didn't take our order, just referred us back to the screen. To be honest, we should have just left at this point, as it already took ages to get to this and she seemed very annoyed to have some work.

Anyway it was early evening and i wanted to give it a try. We ordered 2 OG Döner Kebabs, mine with just with yoghurt sauce, the other one with all sauces plus extra sauce. We also had drinks.

We looked for a table - it wasn't busy at all, plenty of empty places, but not one table was clean... Sauce drippings and crumbs were on every free table, so we asked one to be cleaned. With a big sigh and a "really?" the lady eventually cleaned a table.

The food was ready. Both Döner kebabs had a significant different amount of meat & salad in them. Comparing them, mine was about a third of the meat & salad portion of what the other one was. The meat and salad did not look fresh either. My drink was missing, and the extra sauce was missing. Taking the receipt to the counter and asking for the missing items, we received them with what seemed like annoyance.

Before I even started eating, I regretted coming to GDK all in all.

The Döner Kebab itself ... ok-ish ... It tasted like the ingredients had been lying in their prep trays since the morning and by the evening had become dryish. I actually can imagine if the ingredients were fresher, and the serving quality & quantity is consistent, the Döner Kebab is quite nice.

Would I try GDK again? Maybe a different branch. Definitely not the Liverpool branch again and I won't recommend it to anyone asking.

Thanks again to the really friendly GDK social media team, who helped me in answering my question a...

This was the best Donnor Kebab I have had in a long long time. I came a cross this place some how online I don't know how I found it but saw the pictures and the name said it all reminded me of my very 1st trip to Germany 20 years ago almost and them German Donnor Kebabs are something else. So I sent the link to my partner. We didn't fancy cooking last night so I said to my partner lets go for a drive and choice of 2 places. So we followed the Google Map's to this location. 1st impressions the shop was nice and the layout very sleek and professional. You can notice immediately they take pride in a clean hygiene environment which is a very good sign in a food place. The menu was big but as it was my 1st time ever to enter this place we both ordered the Big Boss option Donnor Kebab Meals. Got home quick and I must say this was a very filling and delicious meal, The Chicken Spring Roll was nice and smashed it with the Cheesy Bites 👍 Loved it fully and will no doubt be back for more and to try out all the different meals on the menu. 7⭐ rated. ❤💯👏 1 criticism portion of the chips was a bit small paying £22 or something like that especially paying extra for the large option I expected the chips to be larger than what was in the box. However nothing went to waste and I was stuffed so I gave you a full rating but please look into it guys as a little top up on them would make a big difference. When the packaging is so grand even; P.S the lady who served us at the counter was amazing her customer service and professionalism of taking our order was a breath of fresh...
