Choose this place as we had a good experience previously at another location, however today was not the day. It was quite fascinating watching the “host” guy greeting us and other customers. Seem to have making such a big fuss at looking at his laptop turning his back at every customer walking in and not making an actual use of that host stand front of him. We were told there will be a wait due to reservations, which of course we didn’t mind since we had a lovely experience previously, so thought waiting will not be an issue. Whilst waiting around we kept on seeing table of two’s being cleaned, yet not being given away to anyone which made zero sense. Continued to wait then we were given a table, bare in mind other table which have been empty whilst our arrival, stayed empty throughout our visit. Another interesting part was the timing of the food’s arrival, where others arriving after us, placing their food orders way after us, yet they have received their food much earlier. Also, unsure if customers need to hear about sales figures made, and what sales target they want to hit by a certain time, maybe that is a discussion to keep private. Also not a thank you or a goodbye. The overall experience was pretty poor, which definitely not like previous experience at another Moose coffee location. Received a feedback card at the end with a name Hannah B, she was our server during the visit she was lovely and the card said Jake made our food today, big up to Jake making this visit much better, shame a good food is nothing without a memorable service.
Thank you to Jake...
Read moreAs a brunch veteran, I was appalled at the horrible experience I received here.
Booked table for 10.30, got seated at 10.40 which was great considering other people being told 45 minute wait if walk-in. It all went down hill from here.
Hot chocolate arrived cold/lukewarm so the chocolate stick they gave you with it wouldn’t melt. The milk I suspect had also been reheated which is a big nono and gave me a massive stomach ache before my concert. We then waited over an hour for our food, in which time people who sat down after us got food and no waiters came over to apologise or explain the delay. Rather they walked past several times and averted eye contact. We felt ignored, and forgotten about and were close to just walking out. Food finally came with no apology for the wait and at this point me and my friend were fuming and upset. Staff are were not empathetic in the slightest. I understand it was a busy day, but there's no reason that two portions of pancakes should take over an hour without any acknowledgement or explanation. The food was disappointing, cold and hard pancakes which topped off the experience. I'd only recommend going to moose coffee if you want to start off your day in a...

Can 'Death on a Plate' be a review tagline.
If this is typical of American Breakfasts then it explains a few things!
A lot of people were getting 'food to go' (very American) after starting dishes.
The Moose cafe is part of a small chain with a vibrant American/Canadian breakfasts theme. Several are based in Liverpool.
I went for pancakes & bacon with maple syrup. All their dishes have a 'moose name' In this case the 'Caboose Moose'
It's obviously popular and filled up quickly on this weekend They did however make room for me and my party of 6 who followed on later (we sat outside) The pancakes tasted dry (I'd presume a premade mix) 1 1 pancake have been sufficient!
Staff were fairly attentive, I aimed for a refill of tea (OK) which took a moment to catch my server 'Emma' They were honest about wait times (20 mins) on this busy morning.
I'd give Moose Cafe another go if I visited Liverpool again, but go for something toast based or a smaller portion
The Decor is Moose based, with American & the Canadian Maple leaf flag adorning the bar.
Tip - when inviting friends to join you - make sure they get to the...
