I couldn’t fault this place. First time visitor, as a Liverpool resident and photographer, I’d walked passed this building on many occasion and often wondered what it was like inside. So on the 26th September I went in. It looks beautiful on the outside (see photos) but I didn’t expect it to look that good inside. However, I came here to try out some food and drink. I wasn’t adventurous where food was concerned, I went for some comfort food. I had some doorstep toast and a coffee. Boring you might say. Maybe but delicious nonetheless. A variety of rooms to sit and have your food and drink in, there is an upstairs too (which was quiet). Great ambience, very relaxed, don’t remember if music was being played as I was too busy “people watching” out of the windows. Staff were brilliant and switched on 👍🏻👍🏻. I’ll definitely be going back again. Will be more adventurous next time

Sadly it was a real mixed bag at this cafe today. When we placed our orders we were not told that there would be a delay. It took the kitchen nearly 30mins to bring out the two full cooked breakfast and a further 7mins to bring out the egg benedict. The cooked breakfast was good both the boys liked them. The egg benedict was so bad, I couldn’t finish it. The ham was cold and the eggs hard boiled. Which is so wrong for this meal. If we had, had time to spare I would have requested them to re do it. But we were on a time crunch and given how long it took to make the first time, we couldn’t wait. The coffee was good and the atmosphere great.

A great place to relax and chill. Located in the Heart of the City centre, Rococo is a lovely café with a relaxing atmosphere. Ever since I tried the red velvet cake here 4 years ago, I converted into a red velvet cake lover. The tea and coffee here is good too! Rococo is a lovely cafe with a lot of space for various sizes of groups, there is an upstairs location with even more space. The staff are friendly too! I’ve come here more than I can remember. One of the best cafés in Liverpool. I would definitely recommend to others!

Entrance is up stairs and the premesis covers a couple of upper floors of the building with various rooms. Think a large old building where all the rooms have been changed to dining rooms. Very quirky and cosy. It means there are several rooms to check for free tables but when you find one you're not in a massive open plan dining area but your own space. Each room has its own feel.

Reasonable prices too and table service (collect drinks at bar/counter first). Only downside is probably the counter layout. Could do with being bigger or spread out and/or with deviders. It can get quite busy and noise with two tills directly side by side, barrista bashing coffee around, etc all in the space of a couple of meters. But then it's popular so a lot of drinks to make, orders to take and maximising seating area.

Not sure if there is a disabled lift to get up to it and between the floors so I'd check before you go if you have mobility issues.

Overall would recommend and will definitely be back if ever in...

Hot Food order placed, table number given, sat down, waited for food, bit of a wait but a weekend so didn't mind as appreciate it gets busy. Waitress brought food, asked us if there was anything else we needed and told her just waiting on drinks, she went away we thought to locate drinks, 10 mins later, food nearly eaten, no sign of drinks so went o find someone. On way I helped another Waitress pick up items she had dropped from a tray o her way back to the kitchen so I asked her if she could find out about our drinks ... she didn't respond because another remember of staff abruptly told me before she had an opportunity to respond that you collect yourself from the end of the counter. Had this been communicated at the outset I wouldn't have an issue or even when the food arrived and we asked about missing drinks, could we not have been told then? It just required better communication, wouldn't put me off returning as now I know and the selection of food and drinks, ambience of place...

Website says they open at 9am, got told they were waiting on a delivery, so we waited out in the cold for the 10 minutes that they said it would take. Customers came and went, trying to get in and looking confused. One customer ducked under the shutter and then came back out and left.

Then, after 45 mins we called to ask if we could come up yet. Eventually, they unlocked the shutters and let us up. Staff seemed like we had walked into their living room and asked for food. Very short and sharp with us.

Got told "it's a cafe not a restaurant" by one of the servers...but most cafe staff clear the tables as standard and don't expect customers to take all plates and cutlery to a table for them. Very happy to tidy my table and return mugs, but a laminated poster essentially tells you to do it.

Food was great, but customer service training wouldn't go amiss. Also, if you have deliveries past 9am,...
