The Butchers Cafe Bar — Restaurant in Liverpool

A great addition to the south Liverpool bar and pub scene. I would not strictly classify butchers as a bar or pub. It is more similar to a continental style cafe bar. Previously a local butchers shop (hence the name and paraphernalia).

So first things first butchers is table service only, this means that unfortunately if there is no free seating you cannot stand. The advantage of this though is you get table service for your drinks on an evening which is something not often experienced in the UK outside of a restaurant.

There is a choice of 3 cask beers on the bar usually always featuring one local beer, keg craft beers are also available alongside a substantial range of world bottled beers.

If your feeling hungry the small plates to go alongside your drinks are good...

Excellent bar with Excellent staff and Owner, headed up on a bank holiday Sunday to see what all the fuss was about, this place is a gem, friendly knowledgable staff, nice surroundings and excellent atmosphere all helped towards a great night.

I’m a regular here. Always loved it. Great service & friendly staff. However I don’t like when the owners come into the cafè highly intoxicated, being loud and inconsiderate to customers with their friends. Not to mention it’s usually with their very young child - who clearly doesn’t enjoy being there. I’ve also witnessed the child asking to leave because he was tired and had school the next day.
