It's well hidden in Hackins Hey just off Dale street. I've not been here for many years. I'd heard that it's been refurbished recently. The interior now looks completely different. The bar has a good range of beers and ales and a good selection of European beers. Vast improvement on the old pub.

One of many excellent real ale pubs to visit during any stay in lovely Liverpool. Several cask ales and all perfectly kept, served at a spot on cellar temperature. There is also a nice range of keg beers to choose from so all can be happy here. Wonderful staff and atmosphere.

Went for an afternoon with Paul Sculthorpe (St Helens Rugby league legend), organised by Dominic and Fiona. Absolutely, fantastic afternoon and experience. The pub is a very well looked after establishment, fantastic range of beers and a great atmosphere too. Everyone in the pub, whether staff or patrons were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back when next in Liverpool...

My first time in this pub after hearing good things and I wasn't disappointed. The pub itself looks great and the beer is excellent but it's the staff that really impressed me. Nice, clean & spacious bar. A good selection of German beer so ill always be happy with that. Friendly welcoming staff. Can't believe I've walked past so many times without popping in.
