What’s fantastic experience. A good old traditional English pub serving home cooked food and local beers and ales. The atmosphere is soothing and most things are dark wood giving it a relaxing vibe. I had the traditional Scouse dish with chips which was gorgeous. Cost me £19. And i had one their local ales which was lovely. The barmaid explained how these ales weren’t full of gas and actually offered a sample before buying which was a great gesture

First visit on our recent mini pub tour in Liverpool & probably the only one lol, the pub itself has lots of character & was starting to get busy on a Saturday afternoon BUT 2 pints of guiness was £13.00 & the most expensive pint so far on our visits into Liverpool ! the guiness itself was good & the bar staff pleasant to engage with ( as I enquired about the price of our round) but we felt it was a little over the top....😟

Mixed experience popped in one lunchtime for sandwich and drink every nice called in same evening for meal not impressed net to the bar to order food we were not told about chicken wings had ran out we also ordered a curry pie veggie meal and scamp we were told by a waitress after getting the rest of our food about the chicken wings so my husband didn't eat anything as he has eating problems when my scamp came they were 6peices which was fine no fries or peas when we mentioned it to waitress she said I thought you wanted a starter as they was not scampi starter how can you make this mistake.we have ran a pub years ago and the first thing we made sure was if a customer ordered food we told them before hand what we had ran out of .thus moment in time I...

Thomas Rigbys is a great, old, traditional pub that always delivers good service and a vast choice of ales.

Split into a bar to the left and more of a restaurant area to the right, there are also tv's to watch sport. To the rear of the pub, there is a large, private courtyard shared with the Lady of Mann pub, which catches the sun most of the day, if you sit in the right area.

Whilst we didn't eat here on the day of these photos and review, I have eaten here on many occasions and the food is traditional good pub food. Not great quality, but good value for a pub.

Drink prices are reasonable for this type of pub and there is a good choice of drinks.

If visiting Liverpool and you want a traditional pub with a good atmosphere, I'd...

Great pub, nice yard outside to sit and good selection of drinks. BUT! DO NOT eat here. Award winning pies???? Who was judging??? First red flag we noted was no-one else was eating despite it being busy. Food then took over an hour and my chicken/bacon caesar salad was the worst food I have ever been served. How anyone can turn a chicken salad into an unhealthy bowl of heavily fried bread and what looked like month old cooked lettuce ( the few bits there were) covered in slimy fatty dressing topped with tons of cheap bacon flavoured bits…. unimaginable! But the chef here did it!! Who ever they are needs sacking ! The pie! Steak and ale? More like pedigree and water! …. Come on! You can not...
