Zumuku Sushi Lark Lane — Restaurant in Liverpool

"We visited Zumuku Sushi on Lark Lane with our two Frenchies and had an unforgettable experience! Tam welcomed us warmly, inviting our pups inside and making us feel right at home. His calm, friendly approach set the tone, and despite the place not being fully finished, the cool design and graffiti mural, complemented by lush green accents, created a fantastic atmosphere.

We tried the ramen bowls, which were simply outstanding—the flavours, chicken, and veggies were cooked to perfection. The chicken gyozas, steamed to our preference, were delicious too. As they opened a bit earlier than planned, Tam kindly suggested we grab drinks next door, but he assured us they'll be serving soon.

Overall, the food was top-notch, and the service was impeccable and genuinely friendly. We can’t wait to go back to explore more of the menu. This spot is definitely our new favourite...

Dropped by with my mum as she was craving Japanese. The staff (Louis and Allyson) were very welcoming and talkative, all approachable too. They were very fast with responding to requests. Despite the space being small, the restaurant manages to fit quite a lot of people in (and dog friendly too) and they also have outdoor seating. The food was quick to come, we ordered the tonkatsu ramen with pork and sushi, both were very delicious. The menu looked amazing but was too full to try anything else, will definitely be coming back to try the other things! Great atmosphere. I visited my Zumuku with my partner today for the first time and had a very good experience. We started with the Salmon set, which consisted of 20 pieces of sushi, niguiri & sashimi. We really enjoyed it and the salmon tasted very fresh. We also ordered the salmon tataki, edamame and it was very good. I love tataki and this is definitely one of the best ones I’ve ever had. We also ordered extra salmon niguiris and asked them to be seared - although not an option on the menu, they were happy to do it and again, also very tasty. I also tried the sushi tacos and really enjoyed it! The restaurant is a bit small, but does feel cozy and welcoming. The service was good and the server was happy to go through the menu with me.
