We went on a Sunday evening. Initially empty but soon other customers joined us. I was sceptical when the starter arrived which was stuffed aubergine. It looked soggy and appeared to be microwave cooked. It tasted very average. The free bread provided was however excellent and freshly baked. The salads then arrived and again they were of questionable quality and needed seasoning. The main however was a sharing grill for two and it wasn’t just enormous, it was also superbly cooked meat. We loved it. Service was quick and warm. We enjoyed the meal and might potentially return someday but would probably just choose a dip for starter instead. The price was very good at about £35 a head with tip. Women’s toilet had no light which was a bit frustrating but gents was fine. We took a large box of leftover grilled meat home with us and will...

Never going back.

The food was indeed lovely. Bread tasted faintly of cheese, really nice. My boyfriend and I shared Dolmas; they were light and delicious. Salad was a bit meh. When I ate the tomato, I went to take the last olive beneath it and realised it wasn't an olive.

It was a house fly about 1/2 cm long. Very dead. Missing some legs. In my salad.

When I showed it to our waiter he simply picked up the plate, took it away, and went on serving some other customers. I like to think he was simply shocked and didn't know how to react. I had to call him back to get our main orders cancelled (we didn't feel like eating any more after that starter).

They get 1 extra star for fully comping our beers and the dolmas we shared. They lose that extra star for failing to use the word "sorry" anywhere in our...

Where do I begin... what a first class restaurant. The atmosphere is second to none, with the live charcoal grill for customers to watch their food being beautifully prepared. The staff are all absolutely amazing especially Emre and the guy with tattoos. The owner is also a wonderful man, and you can always feel the family friendly environment. I’ve never had a bad experience no matter the time of day I go. The food is to die for, with quality and freshness really something they hold high standards to. Marinated to perfection, and slow cooked, just amazing. I can not thank the restaurant for the amazing experience we had, and the price was fantastic too. I can honestly say, living in Stoke Newington for 35 years, this has to be the best Turkish restaurant in the...

Numara Bos Cirrik II (or NBC for short) is a great family run restaurant in Stoke Newington/Dalston. Great for their charcoal grill, mezes and kebabs. They have a unique set of onion based salads that you get. This is on top of the usual salad you get at Turkish restaurants. The onion in pomegranate sauce is bloody amazing. The cuts of lamb ribs and lamb chops are brilliant too, with the right amount of fat and the juices bursting out at every bite. The Albanian livers and Lahmacun are great hot starters to wet your appetite. I have never left NBC disappointed... Definitely try it out if you're in the area.

Really good food, authentic vibe and nice. Overall value. The food is fresh and delicious and I think needs no more introduction, especially in this area of London. Amongst my favourites are the onion salad, the mixed grill and the yogurt iskender. They also have Turkish wines if you really want to go all in for a Turkish night. The white is quite nice when pairing with food, a bit of an unusual pair (white wine with grilled meat and vegetables) but it works. Probably the red is better. A nice Turkish coffee to finish. All of this for a decent price. #londonmust
