Overpriced, tasteless, non-existent service, and law breaking.
We ordered jallof rice with ox tail and another jallof rice with chicken. The oxtail, as you can see, was 4 small pieces and mainly bones with around 2 spoons of meat in total. The meat tasted a bit damp, maybe indicating it was a bit old. The rest of the plate was JUST rice and two measly slices of plantain. The chicken was no better with the chicken dry to the sight and taste with a thick inediable top layer, clearly indicating that this dish was cooked much earlier in the day and reheated. Again, a small portion considering that these individual dishes are £16-£22 per plate! This is extortionate, especially considering the area the restaurant is situated in and that they're charging this price for a plate of tasteless rice!
The drinks were also overpriced. We order 1 beer (Ā£8) and one can of ginger beer (Ā£4), and the lady would not allow us to order tap water. This is breaking the law! She insisted we order bottled water instead which we did after we were scoffed at and felt judged for even asking for tap water.
A bill of over £50 for two dishes and 3 drinks is overpriced, especially considering the state of the food. Unfortunate to say, this has been my only 1 star review to date.
*A note to the owner of the restaurant if you ever read this review. Please read the Licensing Act 2003 (Mandatory Licensing Conditions) Order 2010. This shows that restaurants that serve alcohol are legally required to serve water to...

If you're looking for flavourful and authentic Nigerian food, 280 Degrees in Kilburn is a great place to experience bold spices, hearty portions, and a lively atmosphere. Whether you're after classic jollof rice, suya, or pepper soup, this spot delivers true Nigerian flavours with a great dining experience.
I had the Jollof Rice with Grilled Chicken, and it was packed with flavour. My friend went all in and ordered the Goatās Head, which was a surprising choice, but the portion was massive (though heās a big guy, so it made sense!). He offered me a taste, and I was genuinely surprisedāit was much better than I expected! The portions overall were very generous, making it great value for money.
The atmosphere was vibrant, with a welcoming, casual vibe. The bar area serves a good selection of drinks, including palm wine and Nigerian beers, which pair perfectly with the food.
We had a group of 10, and one of our friends booked the place in advance. Service was prompt and efficient, which was impressive given our group size. Another plus is that parking outside is pretty good, which is rare for a London spot.
Overall, 280 Degrees is a solid choice for anyone craving authentic Nigerian food in a lively setting. Whether youāre dining with friends, celebrating, or just in the mood for bold African flavours, this spot is well worth...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI read some reviews before coming here, and some of them made me worried. First thing to comment about this place, if you decide to go where, you should understand it is African restaurant with African food. I think it's normal to have African names in menu, because it is African dishes and all of them had descriptions, plus stuff was quite good at explaining what you are going to get. I used Groupon voucher, and didn't have any problems to make booking, and get table here. Best thing about this place is food. No matter African food is a bit spicy for me, I enjoyed my meal very much. It was nice from chef to get milder version for my not so ready stomach. I liked interior, it was small, but cosy place. Now a bit of complaining. Client service wasn't brilliant, waiter-manager looked a bit bored, but still was nice. I think prices are a bit high, I don't think I would get there for dinner without voucher. One thing witch annoyed me much, they can't change opening hours in their own website, so as we arrived earlier, we had to wait outside (even bit after our reservation time), because they had to get ready. And no snails... I wanted...
